Average property ... at best. Lots of pros and cons with this home.
Pros - The location and neighborhood is great. Beautiful. Safe. Friendly neighbors. Walking distance to the downtown with coffee shops, bars, restaurants. Patio has a great view on the ocean. Check in was easy. Didn't think the murphy bed was that uncomfortable. La Jolla is awesome.
Cons - No AC. The house ranged between 86 - 97 degrees at all times. They had fans, but they blew around hot air. I didn't feel safe leaving my pet crated in the house. I was worried he was going to overheat. We all were miserable the entire time we were there. Understand San Diego had heat wave, but the house was so old it clearly didn't have proper installation to help.
The house could use a lot of TLC. Some holes in the wall were covered up by bandaids. Keurig didn't work. Upstairs had railing that a toddler, kid, or pet could fall through with a huge drop to the living room. To get to La Jolla Shores Beach, is about a 30 minute walk. The house has so much potential! It hasn't been updated since the 70s... and we all kept thinking of how we would remodel it.
Not the worst stay.. not the best. Probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was our only choice.
