Everything about the house was perfect… parking situation due to an adjacent building project was...

Immaculate. Beautiful. Stunning views from dawn to dusk. We would absolutely stay here again. Heed the warnings about the stairs. We had a young woman who was 7 months pregnant and a guy with a recent ankle break recovery both were able to get up and down. IF you have someone with real mobility issues or poor cardio health, they will need help.

What a great spot!

This is an awesome cabin if you want to get away and see nature and be by the sea. It’s truly an amazing spot. Don’t underestimate the trail/steps (104!) down/up to the car, but once you’re there kick back and enjoy. We will definitely return, I just hope the weather is as good! Thanks for letting us stay, highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay

Beautiful, clean space, with gorgeous views right on the sound. Wonderful deck and kayaks. Perfect getaway mix of relaxing looking at boats, sea life, and mountains. and active pursuits of walking on the beach, taking the steps, and kayaking. Close to town with grocery stores and ferry dock. We learned to watch the tide calendar. Great spot for our family of 6.

A very special beach house!

Believe the pictures and description. The view and location is very unique. The moon house sits on an isolated beach with a resident eagle perched on a near by tree. The place is brand new and very clean. The only word of caution is the approach requires several steep stairs that could be a challenge to some, but is worth the effort.

Beachfront Beauty

We so enjoyed our time at Moon Cabin: huge sliders that open onto the deck overlooking the water, great views from both bedrooms (that share a nice bath upstairs), well-stocked kitchen, two kayaks for use with easy access from house to beach, sounds of the waves, lots of wildlife to watch, very comfortable space! The steps from the parking area are challenging, especially when you're loaded with groceries, gear, etc. However, the stairs are in good shape and make the trip much easier than a steep path. Pack lightly!! We would definitely stay again!

Just what I needed

I live in the burbs, needed to disconnect, get away. Moon cabin is located on the beach, at the very end of civilization. Walk down the stairs, dig your toes in the sand, sit, gaze, walk for hours with no noise, few people, and all the nature and wildlife the best of PNW has to offer. The house felt new. Well appointed. Clean, comfy. No TV? Perfect. Just what I needed. We will probably be back. Haven't found one I like better, especially since it's so close to the ferry.

Dream Stay

If you love a peaceful water view, Moon Cabin is what you're seeking. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the gentle sounds of the waves and seeing wildlife right below our windows including otters and porpoises. When the tide was out, we also enjoyed walking along the expansive beach. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. It's obvious that a lot of care was taken in choosing materials for this cabin. There are throw blankets thoughtfully provided so that you can snuggle on the expansive patio as the sun goes down. We were glad that we followed the suggestion for renting an all wheel drive vehicle as the driveway to the parking area is very steep. The steps down to the property are also steep and there are a lot of them. That said, they're totally worth the treck.

Amazing Location

The family we traveled to see ended up having COVID, so we spent more time at the house than anticipated, and I was so grateful it was such a great place! The kids LOVED watching seals and otters every morning. They also loved all the impressive orb weavers and their webs. Walking along the beach at low tide was lovely, and being surrounded by the sound at high tide was like nothing else. Stairs are for real. My five year old counted 106. Not for the feint hearted but totally worth it for us. Interior was new, updated and clean. My only constructive feedback is bedding. It was fine, but a few plump pillows would have made it superb. Would return, even with flat pillows though!

Beautiful views, OK house, horrid stairs!

It was very difficult to find the place. The listing doesn't tell you that you need to open a gate to go down the steep hill. You drive past abandoned RVs and someone living in the car, and stop at what looks like a homeless camp area. The sign for the house was hidden behind someone else's vehicle, so it was difficult to find where we were going, which was frustrating. We knew there would be stairs, but the sheer amount of stairs, quality of stairs, and the steepness of the stairs was surprising. There are 107 stairs, the equivalent to seven stories, so be prepared to hurt. Going up and down those to get stuff to the house was absolutely exhausting. We chose to not leave the house until we had to because we didn't want to climb those things again. The views were absolutely amazing! High tide with the water so high was very cool, and then being able to walk on the beach when the tide was out was wonderful! We found lots of cool shells, saw eagles, otters, Kingfishers, and Herons. It was beautiful. The house was nice at first glance, but we found cobwebs on window sills and connected to the lights over the kitchen bar. The kitchen table and chairs were old and uncomfortable. The bounces were also uncomfortable and they were hard to get out of. There is no TV in the house. The small appliances are very old (1960s avocado green beater). Overall the kitchen is nice, but remember that you'll have to pack in whatever you want to cook. The beds were hard and old, and the sheets were scratchy. The bathroom was nice, but someone needs to figure out the shower curtain hooks. They were all twisted up and there were two old sets that kept falling off the curtains. It was nice to have a washer and dryer, and those worked well. The kayaks were a nice addition. We would advise going at low tide and not high tide because they are very difficult to get in and out of at high tide. Paddle boards would be easier then. Overall, the views kept us in awe and made us not stress about the other things so much, but we won't be back because it's so hard (and painful) to get to.

Stunning view, comfortable beds and furnishings, and a gorgeous sunrise. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves.
