  • This detached cottage situated amongst the scenery of the Gap of Dunloe, near Beaufort sleeps six people in three bedrooms.

    Rowantree is a lovely detached cottage situated amongst the scenery of the Gap of Dunloe, 1.5 miles from Beaufort, County Kerry. The cottage can sleep six people and is set all at ground floor level with two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, a bathroom, a separate basin and WC, a kitchen with dining area and multi-fuel stove, a utility and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside there is off road parking for four cars, a front, lawned garden and a lawn and patio to the rear with furniture. Rowantree is a wonderful base for your self-catering holiday in Ireland.

    Amenities: Oil central heating with multi-fuel stove and open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Free-to-air channels, DVD, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter packs for stove and fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Front lawned garden. Lawned garden with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 2 mins walk. Please note that check in time is 5pm and check out time is 10am

    Region: County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.

    Town: Situated between the towns of Killorglin and Killarney in County Kerry is the quiet village of Beaufort. The village has shops and pubs, but the main attraction is the breathtaking mountain views, and nearby, the stunning Gap of Dunloe and the rugged, scenic Macgillycuddy Reeks are well worth a visit. Also nearby is the spectacular Killarney National Park which is a haven for walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and cyclists. The popular town of Killarney has numerous attractions, shops, pubs and bars with many playing traditional music. The town also hosts annual festivals. For those you enjoy the great outdoors, there are a number of activities in the area. Along with walking and cycling, golf, fishing and riding can all be enjoyed. With many attractions and activities to see and do, this area of County Kerry has something for everyone.

Beautiful location so close to the Gap of Dunlop which we had not expected to be as stunning as it was! This was a real highlight, walking through the Gap. We did also drive through but late in evening when no traffic (cars, walkers and horse and traps!) - roads are extremely narrow and difficult so please don’t attempt unless you have experience of such conditions. The accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owner had thought of everything you might need and was so helpful and stayed in contact to any questions we had, she gave us really excellent recommendations for eating out and places to see - thank you Ellen for being so helpful and sharing your lovely property. We used the cottage to tour all around west Ireland - stunning scenery all over!

Approaching the bungalow for the first time seeing the mountains of Dunloe was absolutely stunning on entering the bungalow was another surprise it was spacious, lovely clean bedding, plenty of crockery etc, laundry facilities, lovely large dining table and an added bonus was a visit from the fallow deer in the garden morning and evening. The information and the attention to detail from Ellen was much appreciated and very useful even checking we had arrived safely all in all it’s an experience we will remember for a very long time thanks for allowing us to stay and being such a wonderful host. Schöne Woche

Wir hatten eine herrliche Woche in dieser tollen Gegend.Optimaler Standort zum Airport Kerry und die weitere Umgebung. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und es ist allesvorhanden. Wir haben nichts vermisst.Gerne wieder!

The house is extraordinarily well equipped and situated in a calm, rural street. We were really enthusiastic when we stepped into the house as it is big, airy and bright. Contact to the owner was easy, friendly and helpful (concerning hints to supermarkets and restaurants). Definitely one of the best houses we ever rented.

Just Perfect

This is a great cottage - well equipped, comfortable, clean and modern. For anyone considering holiday in Kerry, it is in a beautiful location and is well placed for visiting all attractions. I would highly recommend renting it.
