We had a great family vacation here! Everything was clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils/dishes, and the hosts were very welcoming. My kids loved the pool and the basketball hoop was fun one afternoon too. We would recommend to others.

The amount of extras in this rental is incomparable. I’ve never had so many extra blankets, multiple baby gates to keep our 3 year old safe on the 3rd floor, multiple dressers, all the utensils, pots, pans, a plethora of spices, a pack n play, laundry and dishwasher detergent, paper towels and toilet paper (esp since our instacart was a day late!), and much more made our stay easy and stress free! We were in the pool and hottub every single day and enjoyed the multiple outdoor chairs!! It was so nice to have a place to have the kids enjoy when the riptide was a little too rough!! The house was clean and provided a wonderful place for our family to relax and spend a week in paradise together! Thank you!

You will not be sorry booking this property. This truly was a perfect home for a wonderful week of family time. From the kitchen nook for dinners, the round table for playing games and lastly our favorite the pool and hot tub. There was an opening the the day before we were due to leave. The owners quickly made arrangements for us to book an extra night which we were so very thankful for. Again, you will be glad you booked this property.

Great vacation home!

This home was amazing, clean and the owners were very responsive. We had wasps trying to make homes on the deck and someone was over immediately to handle it. Plenty of room for a family of 6, the pool and outdoor space is private and relaxing. My only “complaint” if you even want to call it that, is that the beaches weren’t far but there was not an easy and comfortable way to walk to them with 4 young kids as the main road is 5 busy lanes and parking was limited. Overall, this place was stunning and we would stay again.

So glad we found Marlin!

The house was absolutely amazing for our family. We spent hours every day relaxing at the pool. The pool/hot tub was very clean and kid friendly. It accommodated our 2, 6 and 14 year olds perfectly. House was extremely clean and well stocked with anything you would ever need. Plenty of games and rec for the kids. It was a six minute drive to public beach access in Kitty Hawk with showers, lots of parking and life guard stand. Nice walking area around the sound. Extremely quiet neighborhood. A/C works wonderfully. It's a stones throw from Food Lion, Target, tons of restaurants and gift shops. It's the absolute perfect beach home for a family get away. Will definitely book again in the future!

Wonderful!!

Everything you need for a family vacation in one place. I loved the neighborhood and how we were close to everything. The beds are very comfortable and I felt at home the whole time. The pool and hot tub were perfect. Definitely will look at staying here again.

Have everything you need!

I couldn’t believe the amount of things they had stocked up in this home for our vacation…..from the beach chairs, the beach umbrellas, outdoor kids toys, boogie boards, tons of board games, basketballs… it was a perfect vacation! We loved the corn hole boards to play after a day at the beach while lounging around the pool or hot tub! It was a cozy & very clean home! Highly recommend walking over to the sound to see the sunsets during your stay! We met Greg when we checked in and he was very nice. We used the beach access on E Herman Blvd, plenty of parking and only a 2 minute drive! Walking across the main road (Croatian highway) seemed to be a bit dangerous with our young Children so we drove to that beach access each day! Overall it was a wonderful stay! Thank you Greg and Annette!

Great home near the sound

My husband I really enjoyed our stay in this home! The house was clean, beds were comfy, it had everything we needed and the neighborhood was quiet. The location was awesome, a very short walk to a nice path along the sound with a few public access locations to watch the sunset! It was close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to another visit in the future.

We found this place on VRBO and rented it for my daughters 21st Birthday! Such an amazing place to stay. Loved the pool, hot tub, cleanliness, location, and everything about it!

Exactly What We Needed

My husband and I had a great week at this home. It was clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time at the pool and the hot tub. The location was great and conveniently surrounded by stores and restaurants. We will definitely return.

The house was beyond our expectations. The pool and hot tub were definitely our favorite places to be when at the house. The weather was beautiful and sunny everyday. The house is close to beach access, sound access and entertainment. Will be booking this house again in the future!

Great

Just a lovely home...loved the pool and hot tub, too! I had a conversation with the pool person and he said that between each turnover, he drained the pool, cleaned it and refilled it. I just appreciated that reassurance. Another thing that was wonderful was that so much was supplied, paper products, cleaning products and trash bags. Great Job Annette!

An Amazing property with great pool!

We had an amazing stay at the Finding Marlin house. The space was great for out family and we really enjoyed the backyard. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect and really well maintained. The location was perfect for us and we loved walking along the bay in the morning. Also a quick drive to the beach. There were tons of beach stuff at the house like umbrellas, beach chairs and floats that we loved using.

Quiet Beach Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Finding Marlin. Annette was very communicative before and during the stay. She reached out to let us know we could check in and made sure everything was okay. The house was even nicer than the pictures, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool was great - we loved we could all stand in it and play with the kids. It’s a great location near the beach, restaurants, and activities. It was a great experience. Thank you!

Great location!

Finding Marlin is a fantastic vacation home! We loved the location near the sound and took several walks on the path that runs along the sound. There are several public piers to view amazing sunsets in the evenings! The house is a quick drive to several public beach access areas with parking and is conveniently located within a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. The home was clean and comfortable and was accurately depicted in the photos. We loved having the pool and hot tub as well! We were fortunate to meet Annette in person & she is delightful and made herself available should any problems arise. If we vacation in KDH again, we would definitely stay at Finding Marlin again!

Fist time in OBX

Annette and Greg are the perfect host. They give you space but are only a message away! It was my family of four’s first time visiting the outer banks. We loved the experience and will be coming back. There are so many different areas of OBX we got to explore. Each area has its own kind of vibe and we’re interested in staying in all of them to be fully engulfed in the different experiences. However, Finding Marlin (and the owners) were so awesome we’re torn on if we should just come back to the sound of Kill Devil Hills! Finding Marlin provided everything needed for a great vacation. The pool and hot tub (which was already clean before we arrived) was cleaned twice the week we stayed. We all enjoyed both of them. The kitchen was well stocked with seasoning and cooking utensils. The house is incredibly clean. The furnature was nice. The beds were very comfortable (not too hard, not too soft). We had one minor issue with the keypad not working on the 2nd day but Annette and Greg got back to me in minutes and had the issue resolved. I highly recommend renting this house and exploring OBX!

Relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay at Finding Marlin. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. The pool was perfect to hang out in after heating up at the beach. We didn’t use the hot tub much since it was such a hot and humid week, but it was very relaxing when we did use it. Annette and Greg were great hosts. We recommend this house for your family vacation.

Finding Marlin was a very nice beach house and the online pictures are an accurate depiction of the home. The hosts were easy to work with and extremely responsive. The house was clean and comfortable and the amenities (pool, hot tub, fire pit, grill) were all well maintained and in good working order. The location was excellent since it was close to lots of activities and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice relaxing vacation. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful home!
