Property was exremely convenient to the beach and anything you would want to do. The house was clean, and the fact that it was pet friendly made this rental the best choice for our family.

Wow!!!

This property exceeded our expectations. Perfect location. The amenities are wonderful. Lovely desk and hot tub overlooking a beautiful beach. The lower level has a separate suite with private entrance was perfect for adult children with significant other. I would definitely stay again

Amazing oceanfront home with beautiful views!

Overall, I think we had a great experience renting this property! It has an amazing deck with beautiful views of the ocean. We also liked the fact that the hot tub is located where you can still see the ocean. The house was clean and everything was in good shape, other than the broken futon. The furniture was a little outdated and I didn’t really like the orange rust color, but it was clean and comfortable. Check in process wasn’t bad. Although we are used to keyless entry, you just have to stop by the office to pick up your keys and packet. Normally, we wouldn’t even care about the futon, but our senior dog has trouble climbing stairs. So my husband & I had to sleep in the living room. We ended up sleeping on the futon mattress on the floor, but it wasn’t a big deal. The property manager that I spoke with was very sweet and helpful. Also, when we were just about to leave, we realized that our truck had a dead battery. I called Carolina Shores right away, and they were very understanding. Shortly after speaking with them, a kind man pulled up who does the sanitizing. He helped my husband get our truck started! So I would give this house and Carolina Shores an excellent rating overall!

Time Out is accurate!

Our family had a great time staying at this house! Oceanfront property with easy access to the beach. There are gates on the deck to keep our furry friends isolated to the area. The house is located close to shopping, restaurants and other attractions - right in the thick of it but off the main road so it’s quiet and relaxing. There is ample parking on the property. The house itself, though a little dated, is clean and functional. The living room furniture is not the most comfortable but it’s fine. However, the beds were very comfortable! One of the bedrooms is not accessible from the main part of the house, it’s like an efficiency located at the lowest level of the house. We did not use the bunks so I can’t review them. We would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Relaxation is what I needed and got

I was pleased to see that some improvements were made. We picked a good week to come so we had the beach to ourselves the majority of the time. Very relaxing. The hot tub was nice. Thank you

Family Time at the Outer Banks

The property was beautiful and well kept. Some nice upgrades as well-I would suggest putting scratch pads on kitchen chairs-new vinal laminate already showing scratch marks. The view was amazing. Pet fee was not listed on VRBO listing when I booked, nor on the Carolina Shores rental page. The fee was applied AFTER I booked, in the small print on the lease agreement. VRBO has updated their webpage, however Carolina Shores has not. I would suggest renting directly from Carolina Shores, instead of paying 2 ADMINISRATION FEES- very shady and underhanded of both companies. All in all we had a great time at Time Out. The weather was perfect, the deck is incredible-full sun all day! The beach is quiet and peaceful. The owners have done a wonderful job in updates-new kitchen pots and pans, hot pads and cutting boards-plenty of prep area for those who love to cook! The mattresses are really comfortable-new pillows and mattress protectors. Bathrooms are nicely updated as well and extremely clean! "Time Out" is Time well spent! Thanks so much, we felt at home and didn't want to leave.

Not as advertised

The Queen beds they refer to are only 1 queen bed in a room that is NOT attached to the rest of the house. The biggest bed is in a dark room off the parking area with NO views of anything but walls. My husband and I ended up sleeping in one of the 2 full size beds inside the house in order to have access to the full kitchen and views of the ocean when waking up in the morning. We did not want to have to walk outside and up the stairs just for coffee and a view of the sunrise.

A great getaway

The location was perfect. It was close to everything, dog friendly, a well-stocked kitchen, and working grill and hot tub. The house was spacious and was represented realistically online. We had a wonderful time and will be back!
