We visit OBX every year and this house is one of our new favorites! Perfect size for our family of 5 and close to the beach. Our favorite details were the porch swing and screened in porch for dining. My kids loved that it felt like a tree house!My only comment would be I'm not used to having to provide our own towels. It is included in the description so we were aware, but I could see this being very inconvenient for travelers that fly in.

Perfect Size for family

We really enjoyed our stay. House was stocked of essentials and then some. Loved the screen in porch, particularly that it had a ceiling fan. Walk to beach was easier than expected. We aren't tech savy so we struggled with getting the you tube tv app to launch, however my daughter who has streaming services made out fine. We had a hot but beautiful week on the Obx.

Perfect House & Location

This was our first time in NC for me, my friend and her spouse, and our two 12-year-old boys. The house had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything besides groceries, towels, clothing and toiletries. If anything, the listing doesn't convey how much is included and how little we actually needed to bring. We loved the layout of the kitchen and ample storage for food. The only downside was ants, which got to some of our food, but I guess that's to be expected this time of year - we kept them under control with ant traps and making sure everything was well-sealed after that. The location was PERFECT, centrally located and accessible to so many activities. The beach was beautiful, a quick walk and easy to access. We're already talking about our next visit and staying here again. Do not hesitate, you will enjoy everything about this house and location!

Absolutely Perfect

The house is very unassuming from outside but inside is perfect. Every comfort one could want. Super clean and great hosts. Stocked with beach equipment to take the 3-minute walk to the shore. This was our 2nd stay at this home and we're already talking about a 3rd. Highly recommend.

Great Vacation Stay

Our family had a terrific week staying at this house. The house was clean, everything worked, and the location was fantastic. We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs, umbrellas, and cart to tote them all to the beach which is just a few minutes' walk down the street. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if vacationing in the Outer Banks.

Best trip yet!

This was our 3rd year coming to OBX. This was beyond the best experience and best house we’ve had! Communication was amazing, check in was a breeze, hot tub was perfect for the evening, easy 3 min walk to the beach along with a great beach wagon to help! They had PLENTY of pots pans silverware every kitchen necessity possibly needed!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Fantastic Rental - Perfect Location!

The pictures don't do this place justice. We LOVED our week at the High Tide Hideaway. Check in was a BREEZE and everything was exactly as described. We didn't even need to contact the hosts at all - as our place was awesome. It's the perfect location between Kitty Hawk and Nags Head and our place had everything we needed. Flying in from the west, we rented towels from a local place, and were able to use all the beach stuff from the house. The beach was a quick 5-7 min walk from the house. We would highly recommend this house to anyone coming to the OBX!

Amazing place with amazing owners

The house was perfect for our family in so many ways. The location was great, close to the beach. I mainly wanted to leave this review because I somehow managed to forget a whole drawer of clothes there. Brandon and Ashley were kind enough to mail them to me as soon as they could! We will definitely rebook this house if possible on our next trip to OBX!

Everything you need for the beach!

This house is a great quick walk to the beach! Comfortable for 4 people, and lots of great outdoor spots and seating for hanging out. Loved the upper deck when it wasn't super windy! The owner provided a lot of great beach equipment like chairs, toys, and a beach cart to haul everything. Note that the house does not provide towels. We missed this in the listing (tho it is there) and ended up having to purchase extra towel while we were there. Additionally, and not the owners fault at all, there is a new construction going up right net door as of May 2023. The generator and loud music started up around 8am. May want to check with the owner about the status of the construction before booking your stay.

Perfect stay in OBX!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house had everything we needed including beach toys and a beach wagon. The walk to the beach was close and the views of the Wright memorial from the crows nest were spectacular. The beds were comfy and it really felt like home. The hot tub was also nice to have with the cooler April evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

Well stocked and homey

Perfect for our stay! Comfortable home with so many extras to make our stay great: books, games, puzzles, beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, toys and even a wagon for hauling to the beach. We loved the hot tub and the outdoor shower and the view from the upper deck too.
