Great location

Great location, large house, plenty of room. Cleanliness could have been better…dusty, dead bugs, hair on bathroom floor. Needs some TLC, fix broken drawers and cleaning of the garage and outside of house. Very nice location and close to everything. Could use some amenities such as salt and pepper, more trash bags, coffee filters…would be a nice touch for a week’s stay.

Quiet location with easy beach access

The neighborhood is quiet, but it’s a quick drive to public beach access with parking. The house is comfortable with plenty of comfortable seating in the 2 common areas. We were too early in the season to use the pool, but it is very close, a 2-3 minute walk. The back yard is at the 4 way stop at the entrance to the neighborhood, but there still wasn’t too much traffic

Great stay

Great stay for family of all ages. We enjoyed our stay. Only small issues we had was the master bedroom door handle was not all the way attached and the gutter was dripping on the side way the whole time causing a slippery spot and one of our kids slipped in it. But other than that , great stay.

Last minute Labor Day getaway

Great property and neighborhood for the price! House was perfect for our last minute getaway with a group of teenagers. Perfect distance for bike riding to all the restaurants/attractions in KDH. Only downside was we were told that the pool was open from 10-9, and with teenagers, that’s important…especially on a red flag weekend…but the day we got there, the staff at the pool said they “decided” to change the times of the pool to 10-7. Slightly annoying but didn’t ruin our time. And they offered compensation for the inconvenience. Definitely recommend!!!

Great stay!

We decided to start our OBX vacation early this year and came to the shore Thursday until our Sunday-Sunday rental was available. This was a great start to a nice long family vacation in the Outer Banks!

Exceed our expectations

My family had a great time! House was nice and spacious for our family of 5. Great location to shops, beach, grocery store and restaurants. Pool was nice too. Only downside to whole place would be if you have a big vehicle. The driveway is very short on a corner and garage is very tight. Couldn’t open our trunk on our Honda minivan inside garage and had to park as close as we could to the wall to shut the door. There is a parking spot around the corner of vehicle can’t fit. Besides that the rental had everything we needed. Neighborhood is very quiet too! Would stay there again!

Great Week

Had a great week at the Purple Palace. Size of the house was perfect and location to beach and shopping were great. The only “con” was that areas in the house could be cleaner (but it’s also a beach house) and the twin beds were very uncomfortable. Otherwise we had a great time!

Ants

We enjoyed everything about the property, except for the many ants we had in the kitchen that ruined some of our food! I told them and they didn't even offer to reimburse me for the food that we lost. I have stayed at many places before and never had ants, they really shouldn't rent unless they have the ants under control. And they knew they had ants there was an ant trap and spray under the sink.

The Purple Palace

This was a beautiful and well maintained/clean home. Being conveniently located close to the beach, restaurants and the community pool was a big asset. The only issue we had was ants in the kitchen and two of the bedrooms. Also, blinds all over the house were extremely dusty and need to be cleaned. That being said, we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay at the "Purple Palace" again.

Enjoyed our stay in the "Purple Palace."

The property was clean except for stair railings and light switches so I cleaned them all upon arrival. Two covered kitchen chairs were dirty as well so we just did not use them. I wiped down the other chairs. The refrigerator ice maker was very noisy and the stove cooked very slowly. Garage could have been swept out as well. Bathrooms were very clean. A blind was broken in the living area and they were prompt in offering to fix it. They mentioned a trash can outside, but as another review stated, it could not be found. All and all it was a good experience and we enjoyed our stay.

Good location

Nice layout and size for family of 6. Kids loved foosball table. Master room beds were excellent. Kitchen were perfect. House is located in a great location and on a quiet street and close to nearby grocery stores. The club house was nearby and well maintained with one slide. Few minor issues: No address of club house provided and I had to call office. No garbage can provided outside the home as mentioned to dump the garbage everyday. Shampoo dispenser was empty. Twin beds had no cushion and felt like sleeping on spring even for kids.

Nice unit, great trip

We enioyed our stay. Home was clean, in a nice complex with a pool. It was basically a straight shot of 1 mile to the public beach. Beds were a little uncomfortable but we were fine. Just one paper towel roll, so we had to buy extra (Publix is close by).

Upgrades!

We were very pleased with our stay at Bermuda Bay. There are not many houses available for rent on the outer banks that offer shorter stays. This was perfect for a long weekend! We originally booked the house pictured, but when we arrived at the address sent, it was a different house in the same neighborhood. That was fine! The house was bigger, there were more bathrooms, and since it was in the same general location it was close to all the same amenities. I would definitely stay at a KEES property again and I have already recommended them to a friend.
