Love the place, ideal location, very sweet and well-appointed. I gave a less-than-perfect overall rating because communication with the property management company was sub-par, days delayed and largely unresponsive. For the money, communication with the property management should be more responsive.

North shore adventure

This is where my wife and I stayed while exploring the North shore portion of our trip to Kaua’i. I would say this shore is a little slower pace and less congested than the other areas we stayed. It’s kind a short drive to do anything except visit Anini beach which is a very short walk from this property.This is what I would almost call a guest house on this property, the main house is just a short 25 feet away, and is also available on VRBO. Awesome if you have multiple parties wanting to stay together, not so much if just the two of you are looking for privacy. The property is great, was very clean, and was probably my favorite place we stayed on the island. You get to see (and hear) chickens everywhere, but here we also saw pigs traveling through the back yard area, and had a few lizard visitors inside.

We are a family of four with young kiddos and this place worked great for our stay. We always had hot water in bath and showers, which was great. The house location near the beach is amazing and the beach is beautiful. The beds and pillows are comfy. We had access to washer and dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. We also enjoyed watching the birds in the backyard and loved seeing the geckos around.

Convenient home close to the gorgeous Anini beach.

The location is very convenient and I found the snorkeling to be just as good directly in front of the house as anywhere else on the beach (tried over by the boat dock). The location in front of the house makes going down to the beach very easy any time you feel like it. And it is much less crowded than the public area which is priceless really. It is hot at night for the evening then cools off overnight. Even with all the vent windows open and the fans going. I am not someone who needs air conditioning and am not sensitive to heat but this house gets hot in the evening. The rental co brought out another fan which was nice and they were very accommodating and extremely nice. There are 3 portable fans here and you pretty much need one for each guest- blowing directly at them- at least at night in July. I have stayed in the larger house partnered with this one and it is not nearly as hot at night. Very convenient stay. Would stay again.

Cottage stay.

We got in late & were very tired The ease of getting into the cottage was very smooth. It is a charming cottage, but needs a couple home improvement issues addressed like the sliding door of the upstairs bedroom, one of the doors seemed to be off the hinge & the carpet downstairs has kind of an odor. I always travel with a diffuser, so no big deal. All in all, we had a lovely stay. Close to the beach, great location, quiet & peaceful. Would stay again. Thank you!

Exceptional location

Perfectly clean and comfortable. We stayed with our infant and toddler. The loud roosters were hard on our family in the mornings (starting at 3a), but that was a function of the location, not the property.

Great Location but Average Accomodation

We had a great time because it was only about a two minute walk to the beach which was one of the primary reasons for selecting this property and one of the main reasons for our trip. The house is adequate but no more. It lacked a lot from our experience with other rentals form Vrbo (HomeAway) we had experienced previously.

Perfect everything, but definitely needs AC

We loved everything about this property, the location, the home, it was clean, cozy and nearly perfect. The portable AC units were a must, however, as well as all of the fans provided. We gave the home five stars, because after we figured out how to manage the heat and air flow, we loved every minute of our stay and would definitely stay again!

What a perfect location and semi private beach area. The house had everything we needed and more.

A private back garden area was perfect for relaxing and entertaining. The rooms are cozy and the rental was clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and will likely return very soon.

Beautiful holiday home

We just spent one week in the beautiful Anini Ohana Hale and we had an amazing time. Our family of four loved the light, airy, and spacious house. The house had everything you could possibly need, from a super well equipped kitchen, laundry essentials, books and puzzles to all the beach equipment (beach buggy, sand toys, snorkeling masks, beach chair etc) - everything was there. The house has a beautiful back yard with a seating corner and a BBQ, so we often ate outside. But the best for us was the location directly opposite of beautiful Anini beach, we walked over to the beach several times a day, it's perfect for kids and very quiet. There are many trees to sit under in the shade, the beach is perfect for snorkeling or just playing in the water. Most of the time it felt like our private beach. We miss it a lot already. All in all it was a wonderful and special holiday in Kauai - thank you for sharing this beautiful house, we'd come back any time!

Nice location, roomy and comfortable property

This place is just across the street and a few steps to beautiful Anini beach. There, the coral and rocks create a very shallow and calm area of 100-200 yards, so the waves break far out, and you can snorkel and find some nice fish as soon as you jump in! This stand-alone house is next to another property, but has lots of greenery and a great back yard. The interior is spacious, very clean, and has all amenities. We loved being able to have airflow without compromising safety, thanks to all the louvers. There are two bedrooms, two living rooms and two full bathrooms, laundry, and kitchen. More of a narrow porch than a lanai, but nice backyard with grill. This seems to be a realty agency that runs it, so there are a little less personal touches in the house than some properties. But, the house is clean, and nicely furnished and has great washer/dryer, dishwasher, tvs, etc. The town of Kilauea is very small and nice, and you are actually very close to Princeville/Hanalei, as well as Kapa'a, where you can find nice shopping, restaurants, grocery, and a nice long path to jog or bike along the ocean. We would not hesitate at all to recommend it. We were very pleased with the property and absolutely love this area of Kauai!
