What a view!!! Can't get any closer to the ocean. Saw many whales from the balcony in the distance - bring binoculars! Clean, great shower with plenty of hot water, very comfy king bed, heated pool & hot tub, amazing central location to more easily reach Haleakala, Hana, the airport, etc. Thanks, Doug!!!

This is the second time we’ve stayed in Doug’s unit and absolutely loved it! The unit is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view from the lanai is wonderful and we spent most mornings and evenings out there. The sunsets are gorgeous! Doug is always very responsive and so easy to work with. Management is also helpful. We requested a fan after our first night and they delivered it the same day. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Maui.
Began each day having breakfast on the lanai.
A perfect place to end the day.

A slice of heaven!

We absolutely loved our stay here, it was EXACTLY what we were looking for and will definitely book again. The balcony/lanai view alone is breathtaking. This was centrally located to all of our activities. Highly recommend!!!! 10/10

Location location location

It's all about location at Sugar Beach, and like all the beach-facing units there, it doesn't get more "on the beach" than this. The unit itself had a well-equipped kitchen overall, though no dedicated oven which we hadn't realized (there is a toaster oven & microwave with oven function). Otherwise, it has some unique custom woodwork as per the pics. The furniture could use updates in some areas, but is accurate to the pictures. Beach stuff was provided, which is always appreciated.Overall a good stay and would consider again.

Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying in this unit. The view and sunsets were and the condo was very comfortable! Walking distance to Ululanis, Sugar Beach Bakery and ABC store. Would definitely return here!

Nice and relaxing

Great 1BR condo right on the beach at Sugar Beach Resort. Directly overlooks the bay with great views and tranquility from the balcony. Close to Kihei and Wailea, which has everything you need. Not far from the airport and other points of interest. Great pool and basically private beach onsite. The condo has everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. Great for two people (couples). Although, it can sleep four, it may be very cramped IMO. Overall, great vacation spot for me and my wife. We wanted a relaxing vacation and Maui and the resort delivered that expectation.

Oceanfront balcony view of beautiful sunsets. Condo was beautifully decorated and fully equipped. Kihei is a nice area with restaurants, foodtrucks, and grocery nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Maui Condo

Great condo in an ideal location. Loved the view including incredible sunsets. Very convenient being able to walk on the beach so easily. Owner checked in to make sure everything was perfect during our stay. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you!

Nice stay in Kihei

Lovely view of the bay with ocean waves and beautiful sunsets while sitting on the balconey. Steps from the beach, owners have 2 beach chairs and umbrella along with towels. So easy to go relax on Sugar Beach! Pool, deli on site. Not far from grocery store to get food for the onsite grill. Bed is very comfortable and water pressure is strong in the shower.

ocean view paradise!

This is an attractive, comfortable and well equipped unit with a fabulous view overlooking the beach and ocean. The resort where it is located is also very enjoyable with a nice outdoor pool, hot tub and adjacent lawn overlooking the ocean, with plenty of lounge chairs, and BBQ facilities. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good. The balcony had space to eat and lounge as well as outdoor equipment for use, such as beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. I would definitely rent Doug's place again.

Perfect Beach Getaway

This was hands down the best place we have stayed for a beach vacation. We would sit on the lanai and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean and beautiful beach. Or walk down a few flights of stairs and be on the beach for a walk swim or snorkeling in seconds. Saw a sea turtle and a few other creatures while snorkeling off the beach. Went for many long relaxing walks on the beach. I e of our favorite holidays to date. Located in a very central location so things like the Haleakalā volcano and road to Hana were only a reasonable drive away. Easy parking and beautifully maintained resort.

Best Vacation Ever

My family returned to Sugar Beach Resort after more than 20 years. The resort is very well maintained, We love the central location making it convenient to visit all parts of the island. I enjoyed long morning walks along the quiet beach. The condo has amazing views. We had morning coffee and evening cocktails on the lanai every day. It is updated and clean and is well stocked with all the kitchen provisions needed, along with beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards. Looking forward to returning!

Clean/Great View/ Convenient location

Loved our stay. Close to all the things we love about Maui. Place matches the description. Resort is clean, on the water with a place to rent snorkel gear (great price) and the small sandwich shop/bar is affordable and good quality. We got some great tips from locals. We will stay here on our next trip

Beautiful location and view!

This property is exactly as advertised. Centrally located in Sugar Beach, a 14 minute drive to beautiful Kihei beaches. The condo was well kept and stocked with basics, like oil and seasonings. The owner was responsive and super helpful throughout our stay. One note, the beach is beautiful but you may need water shoes to swim further out, as it gets rocky once you’re past your waist. I’d definitely stay at this location again!

Soothing ocean sounds

This apartment truly had everything we needed and more. The well-appointed kitchen was a delight, equipped with all the essentials. The view from the balcony was awesome and the sound of the waves soothed us to sleep. We were grateful to have central a/c, including in the bedroom, which appears to be rare in the islands here. It was a great place to stay for our first trip to Maui.
