I very much enjoyed my stay here at sugar beach. So nice to be close to the beach, and easy to get down there, even for a senior citizen.! My room was lovely and very clean. The bed and linens so comfy! I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Condo location is perfect for spotting whales and enjoying the nightly sunset. Condo was well equipped with supplies for cooking, laundry. Vacasa host was very helpful and professional when we had an issue with our reservation.

The unit is very well equipped. It has everything you need including a lot of extra special things like cookies and free coffee. The view is perfect and the whole facility is really outstanding especially recommend the sandwich shop

Kihei Stay

Overall nice stay. Resort needs painting on outside storage doors which is what you see the most walking to unit. Not a good first impression. Unit has a beautiful modern kitchen and view off balcony is awesome. Right on water. Bathroom not that nice and bedroom has no tv. Baseboards need paint and carpet is not my thing in Hawaii, nice sandwich shop and bar on property, but other restaurants and stores are 15 minute drive. Airport is only 17 minute drive. Vacassa, rental manager was great, immediately responding to our needs.

Lovely location and view.

Had a wonderful time here. The furnishings and decor are a little tired but kitchen is fabulous however could use a few more items such as sharp knives, tin Foil, Saran Wrap but would definitely stay here again.

January stay with Whale sightings daily!

If you want to see whales from your room, this is the place! It’s conveniently located to get all over the island every day! We didn’t miss a thing! Even rest days were nice! We saved by grocery shopping and eating here. I would not recommend the sofa bed for an adult though, it’s thin and could probably be replaced. Not a real issue with our 6 yr old tho.

Great location

We have stayed at Sugar Beach Resort every year over the past decade and really enjoy it. I’m not sure what happened but the pictures on line show the living area with a couch and two chairs but when we got there it only had one chair so that was disappointing.

Quiet little place

This is a sweet little place, very quiet except for the roaring waves. The balcony with the view is the best part. And the beds are very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by this darling place.

Best View

This condo was clean and had a great view. Loved being able to open the sliders and see & hear the ocean. It had a nice kitchen and A/C. I appreciated that it had plenty hangers & drawers to unpack your clothes/toiletries. It is small, but was good for my husband and me. Not sure you'd want more than 2 people staying there. The complex was nice and pretty quiet. The grounds were pretty - loved lounging on the lawn watching the waves. I would stay there again.

Whale sightings from the lanai!

We enjoyed our stay immensely! Had a long weekend before our family joined us and we moved further south. Condo is exactly as described, and the view is perfect. We saw plenty of whale action with our morning coffee, even at this early point in the season. Our only comment is that the provided cookware (skillet) was not appropriate for the glass-surface induction cooktop - it left a visible scratch when we used it. Thank goodness for the Vacasa insurance, but we felt absolutely awful! The property manager was so great, and the process of reporting and resolving the damage was very professionally and smoothly handled. We would love to stay here again!

Hang Loose Hawaii

It was really nice. Property clean and spacious for a couple. Bed very comfortable. Shower was great. Living room was nice as well. Lanai - Amazing View !!! Not a fancy place but it was still perfect for us and for the price on Maui. Only down side was very windy property area. Always too windy for my liking. Therefore can’t really lay at beach bc sand all over face and body. I found out it was an area of trade winds. Mahalo !!!!!!

Good location. Poor amenities.

Although the property was beautifully located and had many kitchen needs it lacked the basics like salt & pepper. There were only 3 laundry and 3 dishwasher pods, 4 rolls of toilet paper and 1 small roll paper towel for two adults for 10 days. We travelled with 3 other groups who stayed at Sugar Beach Resort as well and their properties had far more amenities. Snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach chairs plus large amounts of toilet paper laundry pods etc. The bed was very comfortable but the living room furniture was hard and had seen better days. I had emailed the property manager to get an idea of what we needed but did not receive that information. We loved Sugar Beach Resort. The grounds were immaculate as was the pool & hot tub. The staff at the office & rental shop were very helpful and we really enjoyed Dina's Sand Witch Shop! The beach was beautiful as were the beautiful sunsets! I would recommend the other properties before 423. It had the location but not the amenities for a higher price than the 3 other properties.

Beautiful View - Great Location

Good location about 1.5 miles from the shops and restaurants of Kihei. Great amenities including: large pool and spa, lawn area with lounge chairs overlooking the beach, nice sandy beach good for walking and swimming, covered parking with two clean and quick elevators. There is a beautiful view from the living room, remodeled kitchen and balcony.
