We stayed here for just over 2 weeks. The location was great, KAM beach is directly across and easy and quick to walk to. Overall amenities of the resort was as expected and generally clean and lots of parking. We did have a few issues during our stay, from not receiving any check in information (I had to call for some time while at the airport to try and get it), to broken hair dryer and malfunctioning washer. We’ve been to Maui many times and generally don’t experience such issues so this was new for us. With that being said, everything was addressed before we checked out. The location of the unit is very close to the pool so quite convenient. The unit also had some basic beach gear which came in handy.

Host was welcoming. Couch in the living room is the worst I’ve ever had to deal with. NEEDS TO BE REPLACED!!!!!
This couch is horribly uncomfortable and should have been replaced 10 years ago. I’d invite any of your stafff to come by and experience it in person

Very nice accommodations . The cell service was very poor but everything else was great. It was nice having the Murphy beds when we had extra guests the first week. The wifi was poor in the bedroom. We enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands,

Manager Issues

The facility was lovely and the location to the beach was excellent. This condo was clean and well stocked for cooking, towels, and beach supplies. Breakfast on the lanai was quiet and relaxing, just what we were looking for. While this property is located in a resort-style complex, the unit is managed by a separate property management company. If there are problems with the unit, the separate property manager is the contact for repairs. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except that we DID have problems and the property manager was unresponsive. Upon arriving, we discovered that we master shower did not drain properly. After a short shower, I was left standing in nearly 2" of water. We tried to solve the problem ourselves with a plunger but that didn't work. I sent a message to the manager via VRBO right away. I received an automated response saying my message was important and they'd respond to my inquiry as soon as possible. I had no response. We called on Saturday morning and were told a request would be put in. No one showed up. In addition to half of the outlets not working properly, the Microwave did not work. We tried to troubleshoot by checking breakers and more outlets without success. We tried 4 times to reach out via the VRBO app and telephone; we finally got a response from the property manager at noon on our last day. They did offer a credit back, with an apology, which we appreciate, but quick response to the issues would also have been preferred

Great location

Fairly private unit backs onto small green space which is nicely shaded for morning breakfast on lanai with the birds. Convenience of ground level. lPlenty of close parking. Comfy bed and bedding. A/C works great. Kitchen very nice with all you will need. Only complaint is bathrooms need upgraded shower fixtures.

Perfect location

Apt. 6-102. Loved the location near the beach, being on the first floor, the patio facing the grassy area, very close to pool, and zero noise from neighbors. They also had tennis and pickleball courts but I didn’t get the chance to use them. They left a small bag of Kona coffee for us and plenty of beach supplies. Cons: not a fan of their towels or the showers. There was also a dead roach in our room though I understand pest control can be difficult in apartments in a tropical area.

Great unit!

Very nice unit. Nice and close to the pool and ice machine. Nice short trips down to Kamaole III beach everyday. Shower fixtures could use an update, but not the end of the world as they still do what they are supposed to do. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We loved our stay!

Great location - a few repairs needed

Adequately appointed unit. Sliding glass doors and sliding screen were stiff and required 2 hands to operate. Screen door on main door would stick when closed, so we decided not to use it. Shower faucet also difficult to turn on/off.

Vacation experience

Overall a very nice resort. Very kid friendly and we loved the large lawns for our children. Pool scene was very nice. We loved the small toddler pool as well. Would highly recommend this resort to families with younger children.

My experience with your unit

For me personally it was almost perfect and met all my needs. I have no complaints. I appreciated the information binder ( which was concise, humorous and informative ). I appreciated the labelled light switches. ( it saved me from turning every thing on and off several times and then having to figure it all out again and again ) Took me awhile to figure out the table lamps ( either side of the sofa because someone had pulled out the plug before I got there. If the air conditioner/ heat pump was on or off then it wasn’t me. ( I prefer fans and breezes ) Your unit was well stocked and organized in my opinion. Everything from a first aid kit, iron and ironing board to beach chairs and umbrellas . I loved your ukulele ( the younger grandchildren who occasionally visited were almost forbade to touch it) and the wooden wastebaskets. It met all my needs. Now for the things that were a challenge for me. You need to know that I am 74 years old, that there were a total of 11 people in the group that I was travelling with ,that at times we were in three different units and we ranged in age from 5 to 75. ( The fact that I couldn’t just dial direct to any unit almost drove me mad ).

Beyond expectations!

Great condo, with everything needed, in beautiful setting. Perfect location for walking to beach, restaurants and shopping. Condo, pool area and surrounding property were immaculate and friendly neighboring vacationers. All pros and no cons!

Home away from hone

Loved this condo! I have stayed in numerous condos on the property usually building 10, but this unit 6 was super nice! Nice being on the ground floor and next to the pool! The condo was clean, super cute and they had great amenties! Thank you!

First time renter

Overall our stay was wonderful. Our children rented in the next building so we spent more time in their condo. Our condo seems to need a little TLC in comparison. The fan blades were filthy and the air conditioner in bedroom was annoying to say the least. Also need to change out the bathroom floor mats.

Lovely unit

My husband and our 2 young kids recently stayed here and had a great stay. The unit was quite clean except a few small things in the bathrooms. Hair and shavings in the bathtub as well as hair in the bathroom drawers. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, cups, glass and plastic plates which was huge with kids. I would suggest another baking sheet and more forks as there was only 6. The lanai is small but private. The only downside was what we assumed was the AC unit above dripped constantly on the lanai making it wet and slippery and only half usable. We did contact the property manager but never heard back or had the problem resolved. We also emailed them twice asking about a wagon as previous reviews mentioned one and we wanted to confirm before renting one. They said they would check but again never heard back. We ended up renting one and then when we arrived there was in fact a wagon so that was frustrating and a waste of money. The owners have a great binder done up with so much useful information on restaurants. Beaches etc. all in all we had a great stay with minor room for improvements.

Great location and amenities

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and unit was clean. The shower liner does need to be replaced but aside from that this place is well maintained and clean. There could be better communication between guest relations employees but any issues were resolved. I will note that the tvs were not smart tvs as in description so just be aware of this if you are wanting to stream Netflix or Amazon Prime. Beach is within a five minute walk of complex. We would stay here again.

Maui vacation with 20 month old grandson

We had adjacent condos and it worked out very well. We booked a crib and high chair and they were both already in the room on our arrival The support staff for these rentals is excellent. We were very close to the pool and of course to one another, so our grandson could run back and forth between condos. We had a great time
