Great stay for friends week on Maui

We had a great stay at the tropical penthouse with friends. It was clean, great central location. The kitchen was stocked with everything to cook meals instead of going out all the time. Overall would stay here again!

Hawaiian Christmas

In 2023 we decided we were not going to do the run around in 2024 and we were going to Hawaii instead. We decided to return to Maui since we had not been in a few years. I found Leis of Luxury, we booked it and it was absolute bliss! The condo is great for a family of four. We have two teenagers who split the downstairs bedroom between the weeks. No one complained about the hide-a-bed, so I assume it was comfy. The bed upstairs is heavenly! We slept so good!! The kitchen could use a few new things which we let the hosts know about, but overall you will not be sorry that you are staying here! My favorite part of the day was waking up before everyone else, making a cup of coffee and sitting on the lanai listening to the birds, and watching the ocean. I can't think of much that makes me happier. Alyson was phenomenal about responding prior to us getting there with any questions we had, and then when we were there she was great. Very attentive and felt like she wants to make sure that you are enjoying your time. Highly recommend! Kamaole Sands in general is a great place to stay, especially if you are traveling with multiple groups as we did. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back : )

Overall great stay

We had a lovely stay. We have been to Kamaole Sands a few times and really enjoy this resort. Close to beach and restaurants. The condo itself had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. There were beach chairs and a cooler. We left another small cooler and floats for the next guest. Thanks Alyson for the use of the condo!!

Relaxing stay!

Unit was well appointed, clean, and pleasant with a nice view of the grounds, ocean and mountains. Host was very responsive to our inquiries. Property itself is also well maintained, wonderful outdoor grilling areas, fitness center and pools.

Super Experience in Kihei

Our Leis of Luxury condo was superb. It is spacious, attractive and comfortable -- a perfect complement to the beach, gorgeous ocean sunsets, and beautiful grounds at the Kamaole Sands complex. Our lodging was a great "home base" for a wonderful experience in Maui.

Great property for families

We enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands. It’s a great property for families with a shallow kids pool and hot tub, lots of grass area, and close to Kamaole Beach III, which is a great beach to play and watch the sunset. The place itself had pretty much everything we needed, including kids sand toys, boogie boards, and chairs. The loft format is unique and spacious. The lanai is great too with nice views of the beautiful gardens, palm trees, and ocean. The wooden spiral stairs are a bit tricky for young kids, and of course they were by intrigued by them, but they figured them out quickly and we were careful to keep an eye on them. The property has nice Weber barbecues, which we enjoyed. The staff keep everything meticulous too. Mahalo for having us!

Great unit for a family!

Our family of 5 recently stayed in this unit for 10 nights. We had a great stay! We loved the keyless entry to the unit. We never had to worry about taking keys to the beach or pool. We had our 3 young children stay in lower bedroom and appreciated having sleeper chair bed. We had a very comfortable king bed upstairs. There were instructions about the air conditioning units, but we actually ended up not needing to reset them as they kept us comfortable at the higher setting at night. We did not use during the day as the unit stays comfortably cool with the breeze. The unit was very well equipped! From kitchen Tupperware to beach chairs and towels, coolers, boogie boards …you name it and it was there. We have stayed at Kamaole Sands in other units multiple times before and have always loved the amenities. The pool and hot tubs are a favourite and there is easy access to a family-friendly beach with lifeguard across the street. We also always use the tennis courts and the kids can take a free lesson once a week (although this time it was canceled due to rain). The view from this unit allows you to appreciate the beautifully maintained grounds and gardens. It was decorated for Christmas and we loved the big tree and all the lights! We weren’t sure what to expect visiting Maui after the devastating fires in Lahaina. We ended up having a wonderful trip and tried to support the local businesses as much as we could during our stay. Would stay at this unit again!

Great vacation for family

This location is great for the family. There was enough room for 3 kids and wife and I. Everything was clean and easy to use. Had beach chairs, ice chest and beach towels for whole family which made enjoying the beach much easier than renting those items. The condo is right across street from beach, 5-10mi walk which was great for family. I highly recommend this location and will stay again.

As beautiful as the photos online

Lovely condo with a great location within the complex. View from lanai was wonderful as you’re able to see the blue ocean, gorgeous grounds, and of course, the amazing sunsets nightly. Our bedroom was in the loft upstairs. The bed was super comfy, and with the AC and fans we were never too warm. Kitchen fully stocked and all the appliances worked well, including the Keurig for coffee making. 3 televisions in the condo, which we all enjoyed. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends. Thank you Alyson and Ron! Diane

Just OK, but many better options

Good: Property is in a decent location in Kihei. The condo is spacious with one bedroom, a large family room, and a big loft with the second bed and full bathroom. It was comfortable for our family of six. Resort property is just average - tennis courts are decent (reservation system; racket rental $5 for adults, free for juniors); free tennis clinics; pool is very average and spas were not working properly for the entire week. Short walk to the Kamaole Beaches, which are decent beaches for snorkeling (not as nice as the many spots north of Kaanapali), but we did see turtles. Bad: This property is in real need of renovation. Seems clear that it is an investment property to squeeze out revenue and not return any of it into the upkeep of the property. The bathrooms were dirty and we needed to clean the tub and shower upstairs before we used them. Felt grimy every time you used them. The main bedroom had an off-putting odor that never went away. They have a sign on the wall that tells you to only turn on the A/C units, but not to adjust or you'll be open to all kinds of liability. You turn them on and the setting is at 80.... The third bed is a pullout couch and it was awful. We had a great time in Maui, but would not stay in this place again and can't recommend it, unless you only need a roof and some space. We would have gladly paid a little more for a different place.

Great location, but need major renovation and update.

My family of 6 got to the resort 2 hours after check-in, and the house keeping/property manager was still cleaning the unit. The unit has only 1 reserve parking spot and she took the spot, leaving us to call resort to find another parking spot. The cleaning lady was very accommodating to make the unit work for us, but we texted about shampoo and dish soap, but no response. The unit has potential to be great, but the sleeper sofa is worn out that we did not want my boys to sleep in it. Extra foldable mat was available for one of my son to sleep. The other one had to share the king size bed with us. The beach equipment needs update. No shampoo or dish washing liquid to wash the dishes. Not all amenities in the unit was available from the listing. The resort has a nice pool and activities. The location is walking distance to the beach and the sun sets on the beach.
