I've stayed at three locations in the last 30days at the Kamaole Sands (Blgs 2, 9, & 7), & have a great feel of the complex & condos. The most impressive feature of this condo is the location. Situated on the 1st floor in Building 7 makes for easy access to the interior courtyard & pool, as well as the perimeter (gate access to both S. Kihei Rd & Keonakai Rd) to access the beach & restaurants. The lanai opens up to the interior of the courtyard, providing an extremely beautiful view of the gardens while still being far enough from the interior walkways to provide privacy & not feel like there is foot traffic in your space. This was a "work from home" vacation for me & the wifi was adequate in the main dining/living room of the condo as well as outside on the Lanai. The wifi, however, did not work anywhere else (bedroom, etc) given the distance from the router which was a bummer but typical w/ these floor plans so I'll give that a pass. The wifi log-in info was not provided as part of the welcome information from mngt nor located in the actual condo which meant having to call the property mngt "after hours" line to get the info. Not too big of a hassle but caused a bit of a worry at first. Property mngr was quick with communication otherwise. The condo was very clean upon arrival and plenty of quality, clean bath towels & a beach towel were provided. This condo, as all condos do, provide a starter amount of paper towels, toilet paper, soap, detergent, etc. so you'll have to purchase more if you are staying for more than a week. The kitchen was stocked with ample cookware, utensils, glasses, ceramic plates & bowls and the stove, oven, & microwave come in very handy for those meals you wish to prepare on your own. The furniture (bed, sofa, table & chairs) were comfortable. Sole AC unit was more than adequate but the AC relay to bedroom is noisy. The only minor gripes I have are 1.)the coffee maker has a missing metal strainer and I had to purchase paper filters to make make my coffee, 2.)the back to the lounger on the lanai was not operable as all the plastic hooks were broken so the lounger stuck in the horizontal position, & 3.)the lighting is old/inefficient- a.)the dining room light/ceiling fan unit cannot be turned on w/o activating the ceiling fan too which creates a flashing/strobe light affect, b.)kitchen & bathroom ceiling light covers are falling off & need replacement a/o adjustment. Well managed property and would def stay again! Mahalo~
