We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Spent mornings watching the deer in the open area next door and listening to the birds. The unit was perfect for the two of us, especially with the beautiful beach just across the street.

Amazing condo, fantastic experience

We loved staying at Maui Banyan. Great location in southern Kihei and lovely views -- mountains in one direction and ocean in the other, with deer coming down to eat grass and leaves every evening. We've stayed at many condos over the years, and this was probably the best in terms of how well its kitchen was equipped. We also appreciated the three beach chairs and umbrella (although the umbrella is on its last legs), and the fact we could do our own laundry in the unit. Very comfortable king bed in the bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and the pullout sofa in the living room was better than most (our teen did not complain). There is AC in both rooms, but we only used it once -- the incredible evening breezes kept the place cool enough for us most of the time. If you are visiting, my suggestion is to bring or buy some extra beach towels, as only one per person is provided. The parking is on level 2 in the parking garage across the way (a walk up stairs), so use the option to park by the front entrance when you are unloading your luggage or groceries. We would happily return to this condo.

Great Location

This property is very walkable to the beach (right across the road), shopping, and restaurants. The property itself it starting to look a little tired, but this unit was clean, updated, and well stocked with everyday items. Our only complaint was the frying pans were awful. We like to cook breakfast and everything, especially eggs stuck to the pans terribly, even with much more olive oil in the pan than I would ever use at home. Oddly, there was no Kleenex in the condo, which may be a housekeeping issue. Instructions for the TVs would have been appreciated. (We are tech challenged!)

Beautiful as always!

This is the fourth time we've stayed in this condo, and it's always clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent and the building is quiet. We also appreciate the amenities such as beach chairs and umbrella, beach towels, cooler bag, snorkel masks, etc. There was a minor issue with the washing machine, and it was repaired quickly and with excellent communication. We will be back again!

Bad situation all around

Unfortunately we had booked this property and the bidet in one bathroom had sprayed water all of the bathroom and needed to be dried out. The property manager had called and we were going to make it work (as there are 2 bathrooms) but it all fell apart from there. 1. Towels - we found out there were no towels for the unit. We contacted the company and were told they were in the washer and WE HAD TO WASH THEM! They should be “pretty clean” as it was only water but they had been used to clean up the bathroom so YUCK! Luckily the Maui Banyan gave us a set of towels to use 2. The plumber - We were told a plumber was coming to fix the issue at 7am (via text and voicemail) but they did not show up at the time stated even though we waited. When the plumber did come we were told a remediation company was needed and the issue could not be fixed. This would involve drilling holes in the wall in the hallway and running industrial fans 3. Cancelling/refund. We were offered a different unit but it overlooked the parking garage so we chose to take a refund (that was appreciated but should have been offered the first night). Here’s the kicker. They charged us for the night we stayed!! Even with all the issues of the towels and nasty unit and plumber etc. the wanted to charge us. I had to argue to get a full refund which should not have had to happen. So disappointing! Thankfully The unit we switched to with a different company was great

One bedroom needs privacy

Condo is nice but if you need privacy in the master bedroom the glass sliding door doesn’t lock and can be seen through.

Definitely stay here again!!!

This is an excellent property, clean, right across the beach, and it has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We came to Maui for a baseball tournament and this vacation rental was perfect for our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Unseen Problems

The advertised room is as stated but none of the above ratings take into consideration our problems. We never anticipated the patio door lock not working and had not been working for 2 weeks prior to our arrival (as we were informed by maintenance). What got us more angry was the fact that they said they could not fix OR ORDER the part because, " the room was booked back to back." Is this OUR problem?! The guest bathroom sink faucet was inoperable. We listened to construction (hammering, sawing, chiseling) on the floor directly above us for four of the 10 days we rented. Flushing the bedroom toilet would splash water (not the bidet one). These problems were also sent to Rentals Maui. Now because of the "back to back" renting, we are unable to warn the next renter to stay away.

Great location!

This property was right across the street from the beach. Super easy walk… there’s a cross walk right by the entrance to the resort (I was worried it would be hard to cross S. Kihei, it was not hard). We didn’t cook or anything like that while we were there, so I can’t speak to any of that. But the set up was good, two full baths was a nice bonus. They had boogie boards and beach chairs that you can use. The pool here was small but we spent most of our time at the beach.

First time in Maui

It was everything expected and more. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for any meals you may wish to cook and prepare. The location is a dream as the beach is only a few steps away. The nights are quiet and a good nights sleep is easily attained. I would certainly suggest this place to anyone looking for a condo in Maui.

Maui 2022/ Return after Covid

We love the Banyan and this unit was updated and clean. It is convenient to all amenities and the ocean. The view is spectacular in the early morning. We could have used a bit more storage space, but Overall it was a great stay

Wonderful area

Across the street from beach if you just want to relax. The location of the complex is in close proximity to stores, rentals, restaurants, etc. We will definitely stay here again.

Great value and above expected necessities

Unit was very clean, and provided thorough & simple instructions using the Hospitality app. Had a rice cooker which was a plus which should be a standard in every Hawaiian stay. Also a plus that it had everything you need for the beach: beach chairs , beach umbrella, sand toys, snorkels/fins, body boards, tote cooler. A/C starts slow, but cold after a few mins. Overall great time/experience. Would highly recommend and not hesitate to book or return to stay.

Fantastic spot in Kihei!

This condo was so comfy and clean. They had every beach accessory we could have needed and they provided nice big beach towels. There was AC in both the living room and bedroom which we really appreciated! Perfect location in Kihei -close to everything. Overall a 10/10.

We stayed here for a couple of weeks...it was the perfect stay and I wouldn't change a thing! Much more cozy and affordable than a hotel and having two bathrooms was super convenient. The location was great and there's plenty of parking.
