The whole package! Our host and husband are exceptional, and went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. From the minute we entered their serene condo to leaving today, we had a peaceful, restful holiday. The complex had great amenities, was oceanfront, and we loved it.
Sunset from our lanai; always beautiful.
A short walk down the beach from Maui Sunsets you’ll find an area where the sea turtles come out of the water each night, to rest on the beach. Amazing!

Overall, very much enjoyed staying at Maui Sunset A-502 & would recommend. PROS: Lots of communication from owner, w/ an extensive list of preferences, (unscented cleaning products) we chose prior to our stay. Lovely fruit basket upon arrival. Well appointed w/ pretty much everything (includ. beach chairs & umbrella!), walkable to the beach (albeit lots of coral, barefoot was rough in places). Appreciated the binder that listed out where in the kitchen various items were located, WiFi info, how to operate the A/C units, etc. Very helpful (although it needs updating since a few things weren’t current…) CONS: While it DOES have A/C, both in the bedroom & the living room, both are on a 4-hour timer. For those experiencing hot flashes, it meant getting up at night to turn the A/C back on, as the fans weren’t enough. Not an issue for all, but not ideal. Hot tub was out of propane (water was tepid) & ice machine was out of order. *Ice cube trays provided in unit, but that takes time, so a bit inconvenient initially. Fair amount of street noise on the lanai, regardless of time. Noise wasn’t an issue inside the unit. Fold out sofa bed wasn’t super comfy (tried it as a fix for the hot bedroom). Lastly, owners showed up early to turn the unit over, despite having pre-arranged & PAID for late checkout. We weren’t there, but our stuff was. Would’ve been super awkward had we been showering & made us feel a little like we needed to “hurry up & get out”, so not the best end to our trip.

Beautiful extended stay.

I cannot thank Joe and Arlene enough for their help and hospitality. It honestly felt like we were speaking with a family member. From making sure we got everything we needed plus more to making sure we arrived home safely. We decided to extend our trip and Joe and Arlene did everything possible to help us with the process. Their beautiful condo was perfect for our toddlers and the amenities were superb. Thank you again Joe and Arlene. Much love 🤗

First time in Kihei

We had a lovely experience at our stay in the Sunset Condo's. The furnishings were very nice, our host Arlene was very helpful on the phone prior to our visit. She provided some yummy fruit, bottled water and snacks for our arrival. It was a perfect place for the 2 of us. Bedding and towels were very nice. I am pretty particular about bathrooms, both bathrooms were very clean. Arlene had many beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, noodles, toys, etc) There was an ocean view and the lani looked over beautiful grass and flowers. Pool was clean and lots of loungers. Easy walk to the beach. We were a little disappointed with the type of beach, the tide came in very close to the land so there wasn't a lot of beach area. Also the beach was more rocky than sandy. It was fine for us to walk on, but wouldn't recommend for small children to play in the surf. For 2 people, I would highly recommend Arlene's condo. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

View, location, amenities galore

My favorite part of this condo is the phenomenal views of both the mountain at sunrise and the ocean for sunset every day. The bed and quality sheets are a close second. There are a variety of snorkeling and beach activities supplies in the unit which is a nice bonus. The condo complex provides weekly entertainment, pool, hot tub, stellar staff and half a dozen other outdoor activities from tennis to a putting green. Can not recommend this place more. Arlene is an excellent host and makes each stay special.

Amazing experience

Stayed here with my mom and 2 kids (11&15). Had to share beds of course, but was so impressed with our stay. Arlene was incredible at touching base before our arrival, and checking in after we landed to make sure we had everything we needed. The location itself was wonderful, but the extra touches Arlene provided made the place even more amazing! Our flight arrived late, and the soothing Hawaiian music that was left on for our arrival was just what we all needed. The kids had a blast trying the extra surprise our hosts had left for us. The place itself was clean, had everything we needed to prepare meals, and having 2 bathrooms and showers was perfect for us, and the location steps from the beach was absolutely amazing. Hot tub was wonderful after sunset too. Would highly recommend this place!

Lovely place to enjoy your vacation.

We enjoyed our 10 days in paradise at this lovely Maui condo. Everything was available for you to enjoy a day at the beach from beach towels to starter sunscreen to chairs and an umbrella. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to enjoy your stay. I would recommend this location for a couple or for a family with small kids. Condo has easy access to a grocery store, gas station, pharmacy or fast food. And the Maui Sunset tradition of watching the sunset and blowing the conche shells is really hearwarming.

Very nice property

This condo is very nice and has everything you need. The owners, Arlene and Joe are wonderful hosts, leaving us a lovely fruit basket filled with delicious local fruits and treats. Parking is easy, pool area is nice and easy walk to the beach. The only draw back is that there are no restaurants within walking distance, but are nearby with car. Certainly would return to this condo,

Fabulous hosts, beautiful accommodations

Checked in after office closed. When I arrived at my unit I was greeted with Hawaiian music, a beautiful fresh fruit tray, and an information notebook with my name. It was beautiful, peaceful and inviting. From the lanai, to my left I could see the mountains and the ocean to my right.It also overlooked the green ipen space with grills as well as the beautiful pool area. My hosts called to make sure I had arrived safely. I feel so blessed for having had the opportunity to stay at the Maui Sunset and all it has to offer.

Great location on the island. Easy access to main roads. Unit fully equipped with all necessities. Host and hostess were very responsive. Nice personal touch with a fruit basket and snacks upon our arrival. Highly recommend. Complex is older but nicely kept up. Access to beach was great.

Great place to kick back and relax!

Arlene is the consummate host—easy to communicate with, has supplied everything you will need to stay in or pack up and spend the day at a Maui swimming beach. She even supplied us with a beautiful bowl of fresh fruit and treats! Beach on the property is great to walk in the water with shoes and fabulous for viewing the sunset. You can walk on the backroads to breakfast in the morning. The property is quiet, sits on an expansive lawn with well maintained gardens and the pool is close. There was ample parking. We loved our time there! If you are a large person, you may find the bathrooms tight.

Absolutely loved the place, Great location close to many beaches. Grounds were well kept and even better equipped. Arlene gave us personal touches throughout the condo she customized to make us feel at home. The supplied beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc were invaluable to us all having a perfect getaway.
