Good clean space with great view

This was a nice place. The check in prpcess was easy and the patio on the back of the property was nice. Having beach chairs was very helpful. The disappointing part was the listing said washer dryer but it is coin laundry and not in the unit.

Great little place in an easy to navigate rental complex

This was just an overnight rental for us between when we landed and the next day when we checked into our house rental. I chose this condo over others because it looked easier to get to vs the larger complexes (large group, lots of luggage to haul in and out!) and that turned out to be correct. We were a family of 5, all adult size people and we just needed a nice place to sleep that didn't cost as much as having to get 2 hotel rooms to fit us all. The unit was clean, they had snacks on the table which was super nice & we all devoured immediately because we were starving, the beach outside was great and they have some tables and chairs with umbrellas to sit on the patio by the beach which was all wonderful for weary travelers. Both bedrooms were a roomy size, the living space was very limited. For a family with small children or 2 couples this would be a great rental size. The only hiccup was when we couldn't find any extra bedding for the sofa bed and I didn't have a non-emergency contact to ask. I wasn't going to call the emergency contact numbers listed, because it wasn't what I would call an emergency but it was an inconvenience. Also it's good to know that if you will be relying on the sofa bed for your stay at this unit, the coffee table is very large, heavy and hard to move for the bed to fold open. Once the bed is open and the coffee table is moved, there's no floor space left so that's something to consider depending on how you plan to use the bed situation.

30th anniversary family trip

The property was very nice. Quality of the accommodations were exceptional. Quiet area. Other families staying were respectful and friendly. Property is right in the ocean. Other areas of Maui were easy to access. Parking was convenient and always had open spaces. Free morning coffee on the patio was great.

Perfect Getaway Location in Kihei, Maui

Perfect location on Sugar Beach with beach and pool right at your doorstep. Beach is sandy and perfect for kids. Great patio location with community vibe - we used the grill and plenty of boogie boards, pool noodles, beach chairs and umbrellas available for use during our stay. Gorgeous sunsets and very friendly staff. Unit was clean and plenty of towels and linens provided. Comfy beds. We'll be back!

Family Vacation

This is the best location for direct beach access. The rental is right on the beach and the pool looks over the beach. The host was very friendly. The property is bigger than the pictures. It fit our family of 4 perfectly. The only issue we had was we received a complaint about the kids running around too early in the morning which is very noisy for the condo below us. We tried very hard to keep the noise down, but with the time change the kids are up so early that maybe not the best condo to stay in with small children if they are early risers.

Wonderful property just seconds from the beach

What a great place to call home for a few days. The beach access is amazing and we loved all the toys/chairs/boogie boards the property has to borrow. The condo itself was perfect for our family of 4.

Great stay

We had a great stay at Kihei Sands. Location was perfect. Nice and quiet complex steps from the beach. Our unit had beach chairs, umbrellas and even a cooler. Kitchen was very well stocked. We originally had booked for 6 adults, but one couple backed out. It would have been pretty tight with 6, but was perfect for 4. Complex is very clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

The condo was amazing! Perfect location.

This condo was well-maintained and clean. Air conditioning worked perfect. Sugar beach was absolutely beautiful. Enjoyed the beach gear and towels. Lounging area by the ocean is great. Parking spots are very tight and hard to find especially if you are driving a larger vehicle like we were. The care package we received when we arrived was so nice. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Family holiday break vacation.

The property is nice. We have a family of 5, and while it sleeps 6, it’s most comfortable with 4 or less. The property location is nice, but the condo doesn’t have a lot of beach real estate. Limited number of umbrellas, tables, and beach side relaxation space. We felt like we were competing with other families for a dinner table, bbq, or umbrella. This is not a criticism of this specific rental, but a recognition of the limitations of the property.

Fun family vacation

This is the third time we have stayed at Kihei Sands. We love the location and convenience to the beach. We like to eat most of our meals in and the kitchen had what we needed. We also made use of the beach chairs provided.

Clean, close to the beach, great amenities

This condo rental was great and I'd stay here again. The unit itself was clean and had all the amenities we needed (and more) for our short 2-night stay. It's a short walk to the pool area and the beach, and is within walking distance to a small plaza with an ABC store, farmers market, bakery, and shave ice. We didn't have any issues with the neighbors and although the parking lot is small, the Uber/taxi drivers we used managed just fine.

Right on the water. But some hiccups

This was our second time staying in the identical unit. However the unit changed owners. The condition wasn’t the same. It was worn down and cleaning was not thorough. Even the kitchen supplies has been pared down from before. The biggest problem was something biting me in the bed. In the end I had to sleep on the couch.

We enjoyed our time in Kihei! It is definitely more of a local vibe and less touristy which we love. Only down side is you can't really walk to much, you need to rely on a car and seeking out restaurants, grocery stores, etc. There is an ABC store which is walkable so that was a plus. It was a great place to just lay low. We enjoyed just sitting at the common table/chairs with other people and chatting while watching the sunset and having a glass of wine.

A True Gem!

It was great and easy access from the airport. Great being just steps from the water and beach. It was quiet, relaxing and a great place to crash at night. Great location to Safeway, Wal-Mart, Costco Lahaina as well as the Luau we went to in Kihei at the Wailea Beach resort at the Marriott Hotel. Definitely Recommend this Unit and property. We're coming Back!!
