Overall this condo is in a great location, clean and well maintained. The grounds and pool area are beautiful and it is very quiet at night. We did report an issue with the Blinds in the living room as there was a broken rod when we arrived so we were unable to close them which allowed the sun to shine directly in to heat the place up, however no one came to fix the issue. Couple of areas of improvement would be to have a safe in the condo for storage of passports etc. and the place definitely needs to have air conditioning installed (even a stand alone in the bedrooms would help) The bedrooms were very warm at night, the fans didn't really make a difference, and for that reason we likely would not book this suite again.

10 day stay in Kihei

Nice amount of space for a family of four, easy walking distance to beaches and shops, overall good experience. Would have liked a few more beach items stocked in the unit like boogie boards or beach umbrella.

Fantastic location and great value

We were a part of a wider family group who were staying in other properties nearby. This was a perfect location and size for our family of 5. The property itself was clean and exactly as described. Thank you to the owner!

Great location. Close to beach and restaurants. Easy check in process. Unit was exactly as described. Even though it doesn’t have air-conditioning, it wasn’t a problem. Unit stays cool.

Great location.

Nice and clean, great location. Just had a problem with a flickering light in the master bathroom and slow drain in the second bathroom shower. I would of like to known ahead of booking that the owner was a real estate company.

Great location

It was our first to Maui so we weren't familiar with the area. But as it turned out, Kihea was a great choice as was this VRBO property. There are both residents and visitors in the complex and everyone properly observed the quiet hours.

Even better than expected! They provide everything you could need, as if you were at home. Beautiful property, great location, and very friendly staff! Check in and check out was so easy, keypads so you don’t have to worry about who has the key. The only thing is there is no a/c but they did provide plenty of fans and opening the door and lanai for a cross breeze helps a lot. Oh and please get regular pickle balls, the foam ones are junk.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing experience renting a condo from you. The location is perfect; just steps away from the beach. Close to a little mall/malls for shopping and a few very good restaurants within walking distance. Clean very quiet and perfect location. Very helpful landlords if you need anything. The place was spec and span, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and the living room are well organized, perfect for our short stay. It’s walking distance to the beach. Ok rental

Wasn't quite the view, but was a nice place. Would have rather had hardwood, didn't even think to look at that. There were a few issues. They gave us a cooler to use which was beyond broken. The bathtub was very noisy and felt like you were going to fall through the floor. We also did not get the six loads of detergent. There was maybe one. We had to buy our own.

Kihei Akahi C-319

The property showed signs of typical wear and tear associated with its age, but was very clean. All essential amenities were thoughtfully supplied, including cooking utensils, condiments, bathroom toiletries, bath and beach towels, as well as laundry and dish detergent. The property is conveniently within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, cafes, and a general store, although you may need to drive approximately 5 minutes to reach the nearest grocery store. Only noticeable problem was no A/C unit, which was not a big deal. Overall, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable with no issues to report

Nice property

We had a great stay at Kihei Akahi. Our group had 3 condos for this stay. Our condo was nice, but could use some air conditioning. We were aware when we booked that it did not have AC. July is miserably humid and AC would have been nice to have. I also reported a couple of minor issues. They responded quickly and with my permission said they would address the issues after we checked out. Hopefully they did this before the next guests. Overall, everything was great and we would definitely stay at Kihei Akahi again, but in a unit with AC.

Recommend!

The location is ideal. Across the road from Kamaole 2 beach, walking distance to shopping, and central to travel. We've stayed in West Maui before but didn't enjoy the amount of travel to explore other beaches and towns. If you like to explore, Kihei is ideal. The unit has a garden view lanai with a beautiful view of Haleakala. We didn't miss air conditioning with the main door screen and the cross breeze from the lanai. The additional fans made the rooms comfortable in the high 28-29 degree (90s) heat. It accommodated a family of four nicely. We were greeted with plenty of information to get us settled amid a bowl of Hawaiian goodies. The unit was very clean. The bathrooms are in need of an update, but we were not in Maui for the unit bathrooms! We would definitely recommend and plan to return, if possible, on our next trip.

Nice trip. Loved the resort

Unit was not clean. Had to communicate more than once on issues. The lanai chaise lounge furniture is very dirty and the furniture pads need to be tossed out. The lanai patio door was dirty and the screens were dirty also. The cleaner did come out and have to clean them. There was a smell in the kitchen we couldn’t find.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was a bit worn. When we pulled out the couch to sleep on, it was dirty with stains on the mattress cover and crumbs all over it. No ice maker was also a drag. It is a short walk to the beach, and no beach in site from the balcony. Overall it was just ok. I would not book again.

Review

Overall is ok. One thing, I have chose in filter at VBRO air conditioning at the unit and this unit in some case was selected, but when we arrived, there were only fans. My parents have health issues, so for them were hard to be without air conditioning. Also, I was surprised that bathrooms don't have a ventilation. After toilet it wasn't fresh air in the bedrooms. These are only two issues we have experienced. Others were really good!!!
