What stands out the most to me about this place is the thought that went into the furnishings and supplies. You'll find mindful touches everywhere, from the guidebooks about Maui to the variety of cooking utensils/gadgets to a lighted make-up mirror in one of the bathroom drawers. The in-unit washer/dryer was a big plus for me, ditto the dishwasher. The bed was firmer than I'm accustomed to, but it wasn't a problem. And the combination of ceiling fans and air conditioning really does cool the unit as efficiently as the owners claim.This condo faces a very busy road, but the street noise quiets down at night; I heard no road noise in the bedroom. There's a market about a 5 minute walk away, and South Maui Gardens (a food truck pod) is an even shorter walk. Go to the Myth Greek Kitchen food truck for a very large chicken gyro that's the best I've ever had (their gelato rocks, too). I loved to eat breakfast at the glass-topped table and look out to see surfers and paddle boarders doing their thing in the ocean. This unit is comfortable, well-equipped, and would be ideal for almost anyone. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Hosts were very welcoming no. The condo is nicely appointed with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The location is very walkable to restaurants, food carts and shopping. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for an Amazing location on their next trip to Maui! The location was everything!!! Walking distance to awesome coffee shops, south Maui gardens food trucks and great restaurants! The condo itself was wonderful - from how well it was stocked to the cleanliness and let’s not forget about the sunsets and view from the lanai!!! Cannot wait to stay here again one day :)

Was perfect!!

This apartment was perfectly located with an incredible ocean view. We loved that so much was within walking distance—great food trucks just around the corner, nearby grocery stores, and a fun shopping area with plenty of souvenirs.The apartment itself was absolutely perfect. It was fully stocked with all the essentials, right down to the spices and coffee filters. Pam and Doug truly thought of everything—the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beach gear in the storage cabinet (chairs, floaties, etc.) made it so easy to enjoy our time by the water.It felt like home from the moment we arrived. We loved our stay and would absolutely choose this place again if we return to Maui.

Third time just as charming as the first two

This was my third stay at Island Surf 603. The owner, Pam, is an excellent communicator. The decor is nice without being overwhelming. The furnishings and fittings are of high quality. The cleaner does a great job.The location is ideal, with a panoramic, postcard-worthy view of Kalama Park and the ocean. While I had a rental car, I enjoyed being able to leave it parked much of the time. My longest walk walk was seven minutes (Starbucks) and my shortest three minutes (Sweet Hula at South Maui Gardens), with my two other frequent stops (Foodland market and Paia Fish Company) in between.I'm not sure if my travels will bring me back to Kihei, but, if they do, I won't stay anywhere except Island Surf 603.

Ideal Kihei Location!

Property was very clean and the view was awesome. I am familiar with the Kihei area and loved the location. It is next to lots of fun shops and restaurants and easy access to the nearby marina.Will definitely stay here again - hosts were very attentive!

Great view, very clean and up to date

The property has been recently updated and is in extremely good shape. Everything has been decorated nicely and all the amenities are there. As the description says, there is a road in between the apartment block and the beach. The view is perfect, but the road is noticeable during the day. It is just something to know if you are expecting to hear the lapping of the waves from the balcony then this is best done during the night.

Perfect location, all the amenities!

WOW! We just came back from our first time on Maui (and first VRBO booking) and we could not be happier with our experience with Pam and Doug's beautiful property. Pam checked in with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The unit itself is filled with amenities (laundry detergent, so many different kitchen utensils, seasonings, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc) that we didn't even expect. It was SO nice having AC and a washer/dryer. The lanai was so wonderful to sit at and look at the ocean. There is a pretty busy street between the building and the ocean, but the noise didn't really bother us. There was some construction going on in the apartment building on the first floor, but nothing that really deterred from our experience. I think the most impressive part of this booking is the location. It is right in the middle of Kihei, walkable to so many different restaurants and a grocery store, with a food truck park in the LITERAL backyard. I would 100% stay here again, and would highly recommend. I was skeptical of the perfect rating, but after our stay I agree. Thank you Pam and Doug!

Great Condo and Location!

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay at this property. This was a great alternative to staying at a hotel/resort. The condo featured great amenities which made it very easy to cook, clean, and enjoy our time. They provided us with all the necessary cooking supplies (pots, pans, coffee maker, etc.) The host also had many staple ingredients that complimented any shopping that we did (spices, cooking oil, condiments, etc).Additionally, the apartment was located in the heart of Kihei. It was across the street from a public beach and park. Close to some great restaurants and shopping options. All around would book again!
