Grandparents and parents take the two upstairs suites - the primary spoils with a soaking tub, walk-in shower, and double vanity - while downstairs the kids run their own wing: a bunk room with two sturdy bunks, a guest bedroom with direct patio access, and a bath to share. A sofa sleeper handles the overflow.

Everyone reunites in the great room, where a river-rock fireplace glows beneath vaulted ceilings and dinner comes together across granite counters, a breakfast bar for four, and a table for six.

The nightly ritual is the private hot tub under the covered patio, snowflakes drifting through the pines while sore legs recover.
