The house was great! The only real issue was that the pool was not clean ( it was to green to use). That's why I paid more to have a pool in Key West in August.

Perfect Key West Get-Away!

The Amelia House exceeded our expectations! It looked exactly how a Key West house should with exquisite wood finishings, open air flow, and a beautiful pool. The neighborhood is quiet and restaurants, stores, and Duval Street are all in walking distance. My husband, my 81 year-old father and I had the perfect vacation there. We will definitely be back.

Just Average & Overpriced

The pictures give a much more favorable impression of the property than real life. Updates and paint are needed to continue to charge a premium price for just an average property. The pool was really an oversized hot tub and I was charged an extra fee to heat it (which it wasn't - swimming at the local beach provided warmer water). In addition, there was some type of company directly next door operating out of a shipping container that made A LOT of noise each morning. Also, there is a parking spot, but you better have a smaller vehicle. I was driving a Traverse and had to park into the bushes on one side to be able to exit the vehicle. I would not stay here again and am disappointed in how much I paid for just an average accommodation.

Love love this place

Close to walk to everything, house is adorable, clean, good AC, plenty of products to get you off to a good start before finding a grocery store. Would definitely stay again.

Paradise in Paradise

It had been 15 years since I’ve been to Key West and wasn’t sure what to expect from a place I’d never stay before. I’ll spoil the ending. It was the perfect place. The location was quiet, but still only less than a mile walk down Duvall Street to all the things people go to Key West for. It was also walking distance into two incredible restaurants right on the beach. The property itself is breathtaking. When’s the last time you walked into a vacation property and said I want to live here? It was clean. Comfortable. And well equipped in the kitchen and the bathrooms. I’m leaving the best for last. The backyard is like a Hidden paradise that is so well landscaped you feel all alone and private. We were already making plans to stay there again next year. In short, you will not regret spending your vacation at this in this amazing home.

Great place w/ private pool to enjoy Key West!

The house was perfect for 4 of us, the check-in gifts were a nice touch! The house was lovely, perfect location to walk to Duval St, restaurants, etc. The nearby Cuban coffee walk-up window has excellent coffee and bakery items that we walked to daily. We enjoyed not having to drive, we walked everywhere we went in KW from this location. The pool was warm, clean, & the light was working (switch on the LivRm wall) the only thing is the picture shows 3 pool side lounge chairs and there were only 2, just FYI. Only feedback I can suggest is replacing the king size mattress with a new one as this one was quite worn and not very supportive. Also, some extra blankets would be helpful as the bedding is nice, but on the thinner side. The windows let in a lot of light but this could be due to the shutters not being on (noticed them on the side of the house, possibly for repainting or repair)? so if you are a dark-room sleeper, suggest bringing an eye mask. Overall, we loved this home and if you want your own pool and to walk everywhere in Old Town, its perfect. Thank you for having us, we hope to return soon!

Great little place

We had an awesome time. Thanks for the check in goodies. Very close walking to everything Key West. The pool is amazing, centered in a lush palm atmosphere. The house and furnishing were like staying in a home not a rental. I have two critiques. First is that the house is need of a deep cleaning at some point. It was acceptable and I understand it’s a rental. Second, the pool area has lights in and about the palms and shrubs but none work. The pool interior pool light does not work also. Some minor pruning and some fresh mulch and I think all is good to go….. Again we enjoyed the place and will rent again when back in town .
