"As expected given the price this is far from an upmarket area. The rooms were small but clean. Initially I was given a not very nice room with an ensuite that was more like an alcove with no shower but was fortunately moved to a better one. We had to navigate building works to get into the property and then walk on a raised wooden walkway. The place was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful"

"Der Aufenthalt bei Patrick (und seinem Spitzenkoch!) im Merinja Guest House war genau, was wir nach einer Woche Reise brauchten. Die ruhige, grüne Umgebung und der einladende Garten mit Hängematten sind eine richtige Oase, um sich zu erholen. Am Abend hat uns der Koch mit lokalen, sehr schmackhaftem Essen verwöhnt. Wer Grünes mag, wählt Sukumawiki oder Managu :). Gleichzeitig sind freilaufende Giraffen, Zebras, Gnus und Antilopen nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und gut...

"No Wi-Fi internet and they don’t care about there customers. Place is full of mosquitoes and if you don’t want to have malaria please avoid this place. One of there managers called Lilian she doesn’t care at all. You can’t even have cell phones reception inside the house. "

"Never seen it, they never answered their phoens and expedia wont refund me my.money even thought they also cant reach the hotel. DO NOT BOOK WITB THIS PROPERTY EVEN PEOPLE AT THE AIRPORT SAY THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE . THEYRE SCAMMERS!!"

"We had to dismantle and unblock the shower head before having a shower and there was no hot water. But the staff were lovely and the breakfast was generous and we really enjoyed being able to have a hot drink in the evening for a very good price. It was good being near the town centre and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for any inconveniences."
