Secluded location with amazing views

Villa design both internally & externally, garden furniture, outside shaded areas, central location allowing trips all over the island, cleanliness. Mattresses were a bit hard. Some blankets rather than just a sheet would be welcome for those who find the ac too cold at night!

Fabulous Villa Nireaus

Villa Nireaus was just fantastic! It had absolutely everything we needed, we especially liked the Nespresso machine. The location was amazing, with fabulous views down to the bay at Sami it was sufficiently out of town to be secluded and very peaceful (except for the chickens), but close enough to Sami for a quick drive in to town for anything we needed. The location was also very central, so we could visit the whole island, with no one journey being too long. Basically, the villa was amazing and we had the most wonderful time, we didn't want to leave. There were only two minor issues which were sorted very quickly when we reported them, which was brilliant. The only silly thing for me, which you probably can't do anything about, is the street light which shines directly in to the bedroom.

Villa Nireaus

Villa was clean with the normal freelance villas high standards. Great furniture and facilities. Very close to Sami for shops etc. We often drove into Agia Efima for the evening which was about 15 minute drive. We were quite disappointed to discover that other villas were in the process of being constructed very close to this villa. One in particular to the left of the villa which was a large ugly concrete building really impacts on the wonderful view over Sami. The pictures online don't show this at all so guests will only find out when they arrive. While we enjoy freelance villas we are put off coming to this villa again as it looks like it's becoming part of a complex with three other villas in construction in close proximity. Hot water was not always accessible.

Location - views to die for me

Location - views to die for me. Cleanliness the whole villa inside and out was spotless. Pool/garden area. More modern interior/kitchen than we were expecting. Great value for money Wasps were an issue but there’s probably not alot you can do about them. However, we have stayed in 3 villas in different parts of the island and never experienced anything like the amount of wasps we did here. The beds are on the ok for me but my wife and daughter found the mattresses too hard. We all found the pillows awful - hard and lumpy. We all experienced disturbed with back/neck pains… The internet is awful, we weren’t expecting superquick fibre but a reliable service should be expected. Final issue, and one which will stop us booking this villa again is the building and proximity of the 3 new villas. They will overlook the property and negate/spoil its greatest feature: the peace and solitude which is very unfortunate.

A lovely comfortable villa

The views from the property are stunning as it’s set back in the mountains overlooking Sami bay and Ithaca. The long balcony off each bedroom was a great place to sit in the evenings and the poolside area really well thought out with lots of shaded spots. The air con was a welcome touch on some hot days and worked really well. There was also lots of storage and a large kitchen. The customer service when we had some nosie issues on tree cutting wasn’t dealt with initially very well but has since been rectified. The property, where very comfortable was not quite as luxurious as the price tag suggests. The hammock was worn when we arrived and there was some little signs of wear and tear around the property such as marks on the fridge door and walls. Also the mattress on the beds were very thin and hard. I would say that the empty shell buildings spoil an otherwise stunning view if built however it will ruin the privacy of the villa.

Villa trsè agréable situé idéallement dans l 'ile de Céphalonie pour pouvoir visiter toute une partie de l 'ile. Le port de Sami est très sympa et juste en face l'ile d'Ithaque. Assez peu de plages aménagées dans cette partie de l 'ile mais possibilité de découvir des coins magiques en loin de s bateaux sans permis. La villa est un peu isolée donc il est impératif d'avoir une voiture.

A lovely home, well appointed, fantastic views, peaceful location. Delightful gardens with plentiful seating, bbq and decent size pool. The pool was rather cold as it was end of April. Owners and Freelance reps helpful and prompt in their responses. A lovely little welcome pack on arrival. Not much to be fair. More UK TV channels. Only Sky news available. A small carton of milk for UK guests in welcome pack would be great, especially with late arrival flights. We like our tea and coffee in the morning.

Superb Villa in a superb location.

Can’t add any more as the title says it all. We struggled with wifi (think the router is too far away), the TV wouldn’t work because of no wifi. Very minor issues: Coat hooks, leave games and DVDs which I’m sure previous holiday makers have left behind on previous stays, extra blankets (October! - although we would have asked if desperate). Great Villa though and have no complaints at all. Thank you.

Perfect location - amazing views!

Wonderful two week vacation! The location was perfect for us - quiet, private and amazing views, for when we wanted to just 'hang out' - the sea and mountains all around, but also close enough to Sami for our daily bread run, groceries and great traditional taverns. The location also gave us easy access to roads leading to all the villages and beaches we wanted to visit. Highly recommend!

a great villa!

This is a great villa. If you want to relax & get away, this is the place. You will have everything you need for a perfect holiday. The villa is well equipped, a fab pool and lots of room outside to use. It's a short drive from the town of Sami that has plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as a few supermarkets.
