We were 5 mature ladies so used all 5 bedrooms. Each had full length mirrors and plenty hooks for coats, towels, etc. The beds were comfortable - if you like memory foam which we did. The host was very responsive to an initial issue we had, which was resolved quickly. The neighborhood is historic - we were there just before Halloween and many houses on the street were decorated, so thats a good sign of a nice neighborhood IMO. True that 2 blocks away Troost Av is a bit tired, but there are 2 fun quirky coffee shops that one of our group went to daily. The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit. Don’t miss the Miniature Museum & if you have kids or are a kid at heart - The Rabbit Hole

Love!

This home felt like a home away from home! It had plenty of room for 2 families with kids! There were games and the pre teens loved that they had their own space! It’s updated but they perfectly left the incredible charm! We never felt squished! It’s so conveniently located! 10 mins from most things! We loved our stay!!

Thanksgiving

This house was a great meeting point for family from multiple states. The young cousins enjoyed sharing rooms and getting to spend time together. The adults appreciated the dining room for card games and conversation. The house was clean, easy to access, and had all that we needed. It was a short walk to the park and we enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. The 3rd floor was cold at night but we found a space heater in the closet that warmed it up quickly. Thanks for a great a place to stay!

The house is very spacious enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a party of 8. The neighborhood is quiet close to a lot of attractions. If visiting during the summer bring a fan for the 3rd floor. The backyard could have been groomed or cut to use the sitting area out there. Also stocking of the essentials trash bags toilet tissue dishwashing powder paper towels

Hugs house! There were ten of us and it wasn’t cramped at all. Property manager responds quickly and is easy to get ahold of. The place was clean. We really enjoyed it!

AFC Championship Weekend

We had a group of 8 in for the Bengals-Chiefs game and the accommodations were fabulous. Great location to the Plaza and to the stadium. Beds we’re comfortable, appliances were like new, just really comfortable for our group. I would recommend a stay here anytime you find a need to stay in Kansas City.

Unfortunate Experience

Unsafe neighborhood. We do not recommend this property. Our rental car was stolen from directly in front of the house within four hours of arriving. While the host was very helpful in providing us with doorbell footage, we continued to feel unsafe the entirety of our stay. Additionally; the front door handle is falling out of the door, many areas of the home were not clean, including dirty glass and dish-ware, we found one bedroom with a half eaten bagel on the ground, dirty floors and multiple trash cans not emptied. Unfortunately not a good experience.

We chose this property for three reasons...It is big, it was close to venue for our daughter's wedding and affordability. It ended up being absolutely perfect. The owner was super communicative and check in was a breeze. The property was clean and matched the images on the listing. Very nice. The claw foot tub was especially popular. One problem we have had when all staying together is a lack of hot water. Not the case here. The location was perfect...five minutes from Plaza, a park for the littles was three blocks away, Planet Fitness is about four blocks away and there is a Dollar General two minutes from the house for incidentals. I was concerned that the parking on the street might be a problem but it was not. There were always multiple spots up and down the street. This booking gets five stars from us and we would highly recommend!

Don't Rent This House!

So many problems, but faulty wiring was the most concerning. It was HOT, and it could not handle the AC. We could not use the third floor at all, and we had guests booked and paid for each of the bedrooms. We had to go into the dark, creepy basement several times a day to reset the breakers. The host was responsive by text, but he was unable to fix it. On day 3, he sent a text that said, "I'm truly sorry for the inconveniences you've experienced, this is completely unacceptable and I'll be refunding last night and the rest of your stay. I've been trying to schedule an electrician for weeks to fix this..." He knew he had problems but rented it and accepted full payment anyway. After our visit, he did not respond to me or to VRBO. He sent a "partial refund" but did not explain how he came to that amount (less than the nightly rate). This property should not be allowed to be rented until the electrical problems are fixed, and even then, I would not trust that the host would be responsive.

Groom’s family and friends hub

The house was perfect! It was our central location for the preparations for our son’s wedding. The kitchen was great for preparing food for rehearsal dinner. The living room was comfortable for visitors with the option to extend out to the front porch. The beds were very comfortable for our rest after each busy day! What a beautiful old home within a great historic neighborhood. Thank you for being apart of our joyous occasion!

Lovely house in charming neighborhood

Six of us (three couples) stayed for three nights in this charming old house in a lovely, convenient neighborhood. House was furnished simply but clean, roomy, and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. The owner was responsive and helpful. We would stay again.
