This home had everything as advertised, clean and cozy. We loved the decorations and the added movie theme was great. When we booked it, we didn't know that Kanab was known as Little Hollywood and the photos throughout were wonderful.

Absolute Best!

We were so pleasantly surprised to walk into this lovely home. The decor is out of this world and it is evident that the owners care about the happiness of it's tenants. We were in awe of the effort put into this welcoming home. We loved the fact that there were two master suites. No arguing over who gets the perfect bedroom, both were equally unique. A very tasteful home in which we plan on visiting again.

Great little bungalow

Super cozy and well themed. We enjoyed a western from the dvd collection each night to get a feel for the film history of the area from days gone by. Will definitely stay there again.

Amazing attention to detail

One of the best places we've stayed! Hosts were super helpful and communication was excellent. There were so many nice touches at the Western Star! You could feel the amount of care and attention that has been put into creating this space. Very welcoming and comfortable! They have incorporated so many details but one that we found to be really helpful is the many handwritten tags throughout that give you specific information. Many places give you a handout with details but having a tag right there with an explanation is great. They have just thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. Highly recommended!

Great Stay!

Charming comfortable western themed home in a quiet neighborhood. Fun movie set yard. Beautifully decorated bedrooms, bathrooms, and living room. GREAT showers. Well supplied kitchen and plentiful tourist information. Kanab is a cute town and is a great base for exploring beautiful Southern Utah.

Outstanding!

This place was VERY unique in decor- not cookie cutter at all. It was INCREDIBLY clean (and we are particular). It was EXTREMLY well outfitted with kitchen utensils- we cooked every breakfast and dinner at the unit.

A visit to remember!

Everything was perfect, just as advertised. The hosts did an outstanding job creating a unique western-themed environment that showed the film history of the town. Great location. Quiet little town away from crowds but with everything we needed.

Exceeded our expectations!

Sherene and John have gone above and beyond to make vacationers staying at their Western Star vacation rental feel welcome and at home. Western Star was not only very comfortable but had so many extra touches, such as a hammock, supplies needed for day trips like coolers, sand boarding supplies, lawn chairs, etc. The history, decor, and art added to this being the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in! I highly recommend staying at the Western Star!

A real gem!

I just realized that I didn’t leave a review for this lovely home that we stayed at last year. We have stayed at many vrbo’s and this one was a standout. You can see from the photos how unique the location and decor is but when you are there the charm is just over the top. The attention to detail is really something. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we were playfully trying on the western costumes they have hanging up. They have little tags all over the house with helpful information, tidbits and props. We have stayed in homes where there were rules everywhere. It wasn’t like that at all. The information was really helpful. We watched my husbands all time favorite movie “Outlaw Josey Wales” and my daughter and I found out it’s a great movie. We were inspired to visit the set in Kanab. We loved the outdoor space too. The garden of oddities was so cool. Besides the house being great, Kanab is the perfect central home base. Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, sand dunes, atv ride and so much more all in an easy day trip. Cute shops and surprisingly good restaurants in town. For us, fall was the perfect weather. A little chill in the morning and nice during the day. There is a second “garage” apartment on site. Another couple checked in the day before we left. It was fine but we were happy that we had the property to ourselves for most of the week. If you are considering Kanab, don’t hesitate to book this place.

Lots of fun!

This house was so fun to stay in. It was very clean and supplied well with everything we needed and then some. The decor was so great with lots of things to look at. There were a lot of great movies to choose from. Centrally located for all the places we wanted to go. We loved the notes left throughout the house with explanations and things we needed to know. There was information on things to do and places to eat. We loved this house and would for sure stay again and we will recommend it to others. Thanks for the fun place to stay!
