"If you’re wanting a nice place that’s off the beaten path, this is the place. Still within easy drive of Acadia, but also opens up a day trip to Campobello Island, West Quoddy light, and Eastport for whale watching. Even more spectacular was the view of the night sky. As dark skies are becoming rarer and rarer, being able to see the Milky Way not just as a haze but with defined dust lanes and bright enough to walk around outside by, it’s an astronomers dream as well.An incredibly short walk...

"We had a great time, beautiful house! Everything we needed was there! You are about a hour from bar harbor , and most of the things to do are by there, so plan to do most of your things when you go. Definitely go to donnell beach, beautiful and well worth it. If you go to acadia park bring a suit. Beautiful sand beach or swimming of the rocks! The house was beautiful, comfy and decorated adorable! "

A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. "This house has it all and more, from a pancake griddle and ice cream scoop, to plenty of tissues and toilet paper, to puzzles and marshmallow roasting sticks, to all items needed for cooking lobster and other meals. It had everything we could possibly have needed. The property manager was very responsive when we discovered that the disposal wasn’t working and got it fixed within a day. "

"We loved this place on Orange Lake. Such a cute cabin and relaxing. The living area looked out onto the lake and the kitchen were incredibly well stocked with everything we needed and then some. We spent an evening by the fire pit staring at the lake at sunset; they provided ample firewood. Patsy and Ken were great, responsive hosts. This was the first leg of our trip through Maine, and by the end, we were wishing we’d spent two more days at the Orange Lake cabin."
