Great property and location very close to Jolly Harbour and a stones throw from West Coast Village with bars and places to eat. Apartment and pool area lovely.Host very welcoming and shares lots of local knowledge to help you settle in quickly.We had a fantastic stay and are already planning to return.

We just enjoyed our second stay! Mo was an outstanding host, always available with helpful recommendations and friendly interaction. The villa was clean and comfortable and everything needed was available. We enjoyed our daily swims in the clean and refreshing pool which is surrounded by beautiful gardens, birds and lizards. The outdoor patio enhanced our stay with comfortable loungers cooled by a fan. The grocery store, pharmacy, restaurant and gorgeous beaches are a 5 minute drive away. Across the street are TNA Sports Bar, The Big Lobster Head and, our favourite, The Rusty Anchor. We enjoyed the beach, lunch and Carla's rum punch at Sunset Horizons on Darkwood Beach. We look forward to staying again at a future date!M. Powers

Spacious, clean and comfortable. Nicely located on outskirts of Jolly Harbour, beaches and Marina area within 15 minutes walk. Quiet, private property, grounds really well maintained. Apartment was really well stocked and had everything we needed including use of BBQ. Owner provided helpful info on local area and was responsive to questions via WhatsApp. While clean, the Apartment could do with some tlc - upgrading of kitchen equipment and windows throughout (difficult to open/close), new insect nets installed on doors/windows, and a little modernising of the decor. Overall, we would recommend it for your stay at Jolly Harbour!!

From booking to the end of our stay the communication with our host Mo was great. Lots of useful information on what to see and local restaurants was provided. We hired a car to make the most of the beautiful beaches and island. The apartment was well kitted out and spacious for our family of 4 adults. We did minimal cooking but the kitchen provided all you need to prep meals. The washing machine was an added bonus and meant clean clothes to go home with! There are several really good bars and restaurants in walking distance. Jolly Harbour is a 10 min walk where there are more amenities and a supermarket. The shared pool was a great temperature and other guests were friendly. The private apartments are clean and well kept. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

In need of improvement

The pre-arrival information was good. Although what the owner didn’t advise until we checked-in, was the fact that the upstairs property was having work done on the veranda and therefore it had an impact on us for a couple of days, (in terms of dust and noise and inability to use the veranda to the property), we did not want to go to the beach each day so we were forced to stay by the pool. If we had known prior to arrival we would have look at alternative options.Disappointed that the owner didn’t feel it was his position that he had to offer any compensation.Having been to a number of Caribbean properties, we felt that this is a tired property in need of some attention.

Have stayed in this block of apartments before

This is the most difficult review I have ever submitted since it was overshadowed by a key facility, the pool, being unavailable for use which we were told 10 days before flying so were unable to find a suitable alternative. After negotiation we were able to use some facilities at the resort next door. We have stayed in the block of apartments but not this unit.POSITIVESThe location is great, near beach and shops.The verandah is spacious and has a BBQ (gas though)The layout of the apartment is well designed and has two bedrooms with the shower rooms separating them.It has a safe and uses a lockbox.Decent TV and some books available.The owner kept in touch with lots of information.The housekeeper was friendly and prompt pointing out issues to be aware of - mosquito nets needing replaced, possible planned power cuts, dodgy light switches.The cleaner was very friendly and accommodating re. when we were happy to vacate for a clean.NEGATIVESThe pool was damaged and could not be fixed for our time there.The owner had warned the bedroom blind was not working and replacements didn't fit so were returned. The living room area blind and the door blind were also not working properly.There were DVDs but no player.There were only 3 forks and mixed quantities of other items - noticeable because we use the kitchen.A spruce up of paint and some maintenance of drawers/doors and gate on verandah is needed.OVERALL the apartment is suffering from some neglect but has good bones.

The villa was very comfortable with a lovely outdoor area to sit and watch the birds.

We were in Antigua for our daughter's wedding and the villa suited us as it was not far from the wedding venue. There was plenty of room for us all to get ready for the wedding. It is within walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants where we were able to meet up with other wedding guests. It was also easy to get a local bus into St John's. We really enjoyed our week there.

Great location

My family had a great 10 day stay. The location is very convenient and while you don't need one, I think having a car makes it much more convenient to get around. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the covered porch and the little birds that came to visit, the pool was very clean and warm however, with 365 beaches to discover, we only used it a few times. The washing machine and clothesline/rack was also a great bonus as we were able to pack a bit less. Water pressure in the shower was amazing! Saturday night is karaoke night at TNA Sprots Bar across the street and they get a little wild and go pretty late, but other than that it was pretty quiet. I'd recommend going over and joining them - it's a great little bar with decently priced food. We loved Antigua and would definitely recommend Mo's place.

Quiet property and great pool

Wonderful home base in paradise

My adult sons and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely villa in Bolands, Antigua. The entire process from booking, confirming our booking, checking in, and checking out was seamless. Mo and Michelle are very nice, efficient, and professional team. We hope to come again because the villa is nicely secluded and provided a wonderful home base for us. Easy Access

Jolly Harbour

Excellent location and standard of the property. Pool was a delight. Issue with finding the property as address given was Garden Apartments whereas it was Hamilton House. Taxi driver did not know Garden Apartments. Took about an hour to find the property then we did not have the key box code and took a while to contact someone to get it. After that though, very happy with our stay.

Great location!

Mo’s place was in a great location on Antigua. We had a rental car so getting around the island was easy with better traffic than going though St. John’s. Only one small complaint is that after 30 hours of being awake, airport waits and flight times, there was no water still for 5 hours after arriving to the condo. While this was not Mos fault directly, the property manager said it was a scheduled water maintenance shut off to fix a water line. As a “scheduled” shut off, I really feel Mo should have informed me before we arrived that we would have no running water to shower or use the washrooms. We had to make alternative plans to go over to our friends Villa to have showers just to go out for dinner. When we returned at 10:00pm, the water was once again on. Other than that, the place inside was great! Some small damages to things like the oven (salt water has corroded the metal) and a touch of paint here and there. Pool and outside grounds were immaculate and we almost always had the pool to ourselves. All in all a great vacation!

A wonderful vacation

We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed our stay! The apartment was clean and we had everything that we needed. The shower was hot with strong water pressure. The air conditioning worked well, however the ceiling fans kept us comfortable most nights without the A/C. We enjoyed our daily swims in the crystal clear pool surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Be careful on the pool deck, it gets slippery when wet. We spent a lot of time on the private covered deck enjoying the hill views, birds, lizards and tropical flowers. At sunset the tree frogs chirped which added to the charm. Mo was great during the booking process and Michelle answered our questions promptly. We had guests who joined us for 2 of our three weeks and they all enjoyed their visit. This was our first holiday rental and we arrived thinking we could walk to the beach. For anyone with knee or health issues, the walk is much further than 5 minutes. I recommend renting a car as the walk to the grocery store is 14 minutes, then another 14 minutes back lugging heavy groceries. We used the car rental company recommended by Mo and we were very happy with the vehicle and their service. Right across the street is TNA Sports Bar run by Terry who is very friendly. He serves cold beer and delicious food. There is music most nights if you want to have a fun evening. We would definitely stay here again!

So helpful!

After a mix up with our original Vrbo, we were scrambling to find a place last minute. Mo and Michelle were extremely helpful, doing a last minute booking for us and making sure the unit was clean and ready. Although it was on the opposite side of the island from where we had originally booked, we were really happy with both the location and the unit itself. Thanks, Mo and Michelle!
