We had a fantastic stay at this property. The space is generously sized and immaculately clean throughout, with a lovely pool that quickly became the center of our days. Location is hard to beat — groceries, restaurants, and the beach are all just a short walk away, making Jan Thiel feel very easy to settle into.The layout is smart: private ensuite bedrooms are fully air-conditioned for comfortable sleeping, while the open living room lets the tradewinds do their thing naturally — a nice touch that keeps the space breezy without feeling artificial. The street is quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated after busy days out.The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to cook proper meals.One small suggestion for the owners: the upper deck is a great feature with real potential, but a few more comfortable furnishings or some shade would make it genuinely cosy and a spot you'd want to linger on. As it stands it's a bit underutilized.Overall a wonderful home base for exploring that side of Curaçao — highly recommended!

Property manager was amazing. Location perfect, walking distance to groceries, restaurants, diving, and beaches. House was beautiful, better than the pictures show. All rooms cooled off in the evenings when we turned on the A/C, and our fees for electricity weren't worrrisome at all. We used the kitchen and grill to cook many meals, and had everything we needed to enjoy family dinners around the large dining table or outside. We got "stuck" in Curacao when the air space was closed and were accommodated for extra nights with kindness and efficiency. The washer and dryer were great to have during this time. Thank you, we loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

Excellent amenities and location

Overall the villa is a dream to stay at with its private pool and shady outdoor dining space. The concierge was communicative and welcoming. The master bedroom off the kitchen was easy to cool with an air conditioner and ceiling fan. Guests in the other three bedrooms found them to be warm and it took a long time to cool them down. Consequently we did exceed the allowable electricity charge and had to pay extra. The location near the grocery store, restaurants, and Jan Thiel beach was superb.

Beware!

This was a nice property in a great location that I would never book again! The owner of this property clearly isn’t willing to make the improvements necessary to make this villa a joy to experience. I spent way too much time troubleshooting with management about broken systems and deficient provisions for a four bedroom villa. The electrical systems are problematic. For instance the stove top stopped working mid meal with no instructions how to fix the problem. The fix involved flipping unmarked circuit breaker and leaving it off for some time before restarting the stove. That was fun and the meal was ruined. And this is apparently something management is aware of as they had the fix but the owner hasn’t repaired or replaced the cooktop making sure it doesn’t happen again. Three of the four air conditioners in the bedrooms did not cool adequately. The internet connectivity is poor often kicking you off while in the house. When we arrived there were seven lights not working outside by the pool and five inside the house. The television is a nightmare to operate and the screen pixilates. The allowance of 25kw per day for electricity and the water allowance clearly isn’t enough for a four bedroom villa (and we didn’t even have a full house). You can expect overages and to pay extra at the end of your trip. The house has some unfinished features like sliding glass doors in one room that open to a three foot drop to the back yard! There’s an accident waiting to happen.Think twice

Great location for family vacation

This home was excellent for our party of six adults, two couples two singles. While we had the benefit of the pool and self catering in a well equipped kitchen, it was only a 5 minute walk to the grocery shop, beach and excellent restaurants (Zest). The host, Shaymara (Key Caribe) provided excellent, complete and prompt communication. I would definitely recommend this property and stay there again.

Great House, but…

The overall house is great and in an ideal location. The bedrooms all have AC units but the main area does not, so it gets very hot in the living/dining area. Electricity allowance is extremely low for a house of this size (25kwh/day). You can only use the AC units in the bedrooms sparingly otherwise you’ll end up with a extra bill at the end of your stay. For comfort, you would need at least 50-75kwh/day. Overall a great house, but the daily electricity allowance is prohibitive. There are other houses on the island of similar size and price that allow for a more comfortable stay.

Amazing Villa

Our stay was amazing. The villa was clean and within walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, and beaches. Shaymara was easy to communicate with, check in was a breeze and the property and pool were great!
