Nice view and the pool couldn’t be any closer . Layout was nice. Each room had its own bathroom and shower. It was quiet and comfortable plus an end unit. Very spacious and nice big closets. Washer and dryer a plus.

We enjoyed the Omni Resortlocation. Beds were comfortable, water was hot. Ample room for the three adults and one small dog. Facility had a large pool. Lodging is nice but showing a little age furniture was comfortable but dining table needs to be tightened or replaced before it collapses. Worst part was the elevator setup. It stopped at a level beteeen floors so you either had to haul luggage up a half flight or down one to get to the entrance.

We love Amelia

We love coming to Amelia! We consider it our home away from home. Just a few things that i feel could be fixed at this location would be more cleanliness of the unit. Provide the guest with some dish detergent and laundry detergent. Dryer not functioning properly, might just need a good servicing. Beach umbrella downstairs was broken so we had to buy our own. Sink faucets leak There is no cable at this location. You have to use your own streaming services. For the price we paid per night, the unit needs some work.

Our check in was at 4 and it was not ready until 6. The place was not as clean as it was a year ago when we came. The upstairs is super hot and the AC unit is downstairs. No ceiling fans either. The pool in July is like bath water and not very refreshing. Not sure if it’s new owners or management from the last stay but it was definitely a different experience this stay.

Amelia Island Getway

Overall the place was beautiful. Loved that it had a pool and it was beachfront. Beach towels/beach toys/beach chairs and umbrella were provided along with a wagon to haul them to the beach. The ONLY thing that I’d advise to bring is a large box fan for upstairs. The downstairs stayed cool. The upstairs was extremely hot and there was no ceiling fan or box fans provided. The AC unit is located downstairs.

Shipwatch on Amelia Island

We were very familiar with the Amelia Island Plantation and have stayed there many times with family. This particular condo had some problems: -The entry door locks did not work properly and management did not get this resolved while we were there. -The bathroom tissue holder in the master bathroom had fallen off the wall and needed repair/replacing -Stairs were a problem. Other condos in the plantation allow you to use a luggage cart to transport luggage from your car to the elevator and then directly inside your condo. This condo is not suitable for older people. I am 67 and had a hip replacement. -This condo was advertised as having been recently renovated. Who ever is doing your renovation work is a poor craftsman, at best. Also the maintenance man they sent out to help with the lock and bathroom was unskilled and did not know how to repair the items we discussed. -We checked out one day early and I called Amelia Island Rentals and spoke to them about the problems and asked for them to discount the total rental cost by one day since we moved out early and I let them know early in the day on Friday. Their lack of response will prevent me from using VRBO or the rental agents firm in the future. You just lost a customer and many more in the future because of this rental. I have used VRBO in the past but will not do so in the future. You have too many competitors in the market to give sub par service. -Had to pay too much $ up front for this stay with no recourse

Great condo, accurate description

Overall stay was excellent. Parking was a bit constrained at times but it was a very busy holiday weekend. Beach was very nice and was never over crowded even though it was Independence Day weekend.

Spring break with a big family

We LOVE Amelia Island plantation and Shipwatch is our favorite place to stay. This condo was great for our big family that includes teenagers & elementary aged children. The kids loved this particular condo and have asked to stay here next time we come back!

This was the nicest most beautiful unit we’ve ever stayed in. Lots of room, great view and easy to get to the trails to ride your bike. We went to Bob’s steakhouse and had the best meal we’ve had in years.
