The house was very clean and comfortable. Located in a gated community, we felt very safe. The view was beautiful, particularly the sunset on the lagoon. Close to the beach and historic Charleston, there was so much to choose from, including spending time talking in the sunroom.

Golf course waterway views

This property is all about the views from the sunroom, which is where I spent the majority of my time. Great spot for bird and ( golf) birdie watching. Saw a couple of gators too. Home has a great open concept layout. Bathrooms are small, but sufficient. Beds were comfy. We had one small maintenance issue, that was quickly resolved.

Good

The property is located in a gated community. The home sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and is very quiet and peaceful. The home is need of some repair. There are multiple broken/cracked floor tiles in the bathrooms which is most pronounced in the kitchen. The kitchen is adequately supplied with cooking equipment, but lacks for anything other than salt and pepper. You will have to provide anything further. The dry wall tape in one corner of a bedroom is separating from the wall and in need of repair as well as one door constantly rubbing the door jam. Three light bulbs were burnt in the bathroom upon arrival. Property management was quick to respond with replacements. The porch area is wonderful which overlooks the water. There you can see turtles, fish, and many birds. The ocean is just a short walk from the home. The property is clean and adequate, but simply needs to be repaired and updated. A few night stands in the extra room would be a nice touch.

This house was very beautiful. There was a lot of wildlife in the lagoon behind the house. We saw birds, turtles, and alligators.

Beautiful view of the Lake

This property was perfect for our family. When we checked it a few things were needed and the company responded quickly. Very clean & comfortable. The sunroom and deck were perfect for watching sunrises, golfers & the beautiful wild life. Fully stocked kitchen but bring all your cooking needs (oils, spices, etc). Only salt & peeper were available. Small parking area in the front of the house. We had 2 golf carts for our beach access and a large truck. We made that work in the driveway which was half paved, half gravel. No more than 2 cars will fit and no street parking. A great house that we would return to again! Love Wild Dunes!

Very nice property!

This is a very nice cottage, right on the lake, with a view of one of the Wild Dunes golf courses. Clean, fully furnished, and everything worked! Other family members stayed in an Air B&B rental a few blocks away and were very jealous of our VRBO lodging!

Happy happy place

Enjoyed watching the birds, fish jump, golfers and the alligator. Walking and biking. Wonderful week. Beds are very comfortable. We had trouble with the fridge, but it was fixed promptly. Would love to rent again.

Family Vacation

This was a nice sized house for our family of 7. Bedrooms were nice sized and beds were comfortable. We had a lot of fun sitting on the back porch and watching the fish and the gators. Beach always seems too far away but was really only a 10 minute walk with a couple of different access points. Kitchen was well equipped with pans, cookie sheets, casserole dishes etc.

Stunning sunsets & a great house

The perfect house for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. Loads of space, very clean and everything we needed, aside from a BBQ grill but we were kindly provided with one after a quick call to beachside vacations. The sunsets over the river and golf course were stunning. Beds and living room furniture were all very comfortable. Some of the dining chairs are in need of maintenance, which I noted to the rental company, and an extra saucepan or two for the kitchen wouldn’t go astray either. I enjoy cooking but there was only a really large pot of a tiny one. Minor complaint! Having the credit for vacay gear is always a bonus with beachside vacation properties. We used it to rent bikes and enjoyed so many beautiful cycles around wild dunes & the golf courses, down to the marina and on the beach. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away as is the outdoor pool. A great house in a great location. I would happily return.

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful visit! This updated property and it’s lagoon views are beautiful. Our family loved the private feel yet close proximity to the beach and Wild Dunes pavilion.

Very spacious and a beautiful setting

We really enjoyed our stay on the Isle of Palms. For the two of us the house was very spacious and we did not even touch the other two bedrooms. Having two bathrooms was nice since the bathrooms are not huge. For us the best feature of this vacation rental was its location right on the water across from the first hole of the golf course, we sat out every night on the water to watch the sunset and the birds that nest in the surrounding trees come back for the night, very magical. In addition to the birds there were turtles, jumping fish and even an alligator that cruised up to say hi. At least we hoped that was all it was going to do and we retreated to the deck until it left. The rental itself was very nice and spacious, and the kingsized bed was very comfortable. We could see this being a very comfortable place for a family vacation. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with plates, glasses, cups, and cooking stuff. Not much beyond that is supplied, but that is what we expect and we bring our own supplies that we really want. The only thing that needs to be addressed (we notified the rental company) is that the couch is shedding and could use replacing. The pictures are pretty true to the actual rental unit. Internet access worked well and was fast. Being in the Wild Dunes was nice with its bike paths and beach access. We did not take advantage of any of the Wild Dunes facilities. Isle of the Palms is very nice and we enjoyed biking on the island every day. If we travel back to the Isle of Palms we would definitely stay here again.

Small home that was perfect for the four days I was there

Have used VRBO and HomeAway multiple times to stay on Isle of Palms and always been satisfied. Usually stay at larger property on front beach but forgot to book. Realized late and scrambled looking for a place to stay. Beachside Vacations has managed several other properties I've stayed at in past and are easy to work with. Sent me all paperwork via email and booked house easily. My expectations were not as high since it was last minute but turned out to be a great little house. While not on the beach, had a good view of pond and golf course. Able to take great wildlife pictures of birds, turtles, and some fish jumping out of the water. House was just the right size and loved the glassed in porch with AC! 5 minute easy walk to the beach.

Nice House - GREAT location!

We had a nice stay. The decor was up to date. The linens were fresh and super soft. The fixtures were nice. There were a few spider webs WAY up in the vaulted ceiling area, but all in all the house was nice. It did mention that there was a sleeper sofa - but there were only the four double beds and the one king room. That was fine for our visit, but It is worth noting. The internet, the tv and all the amenities worked well. The walk to the beach is easy and takes about 10 minutes. I LOVED the electronic checkin and the code for the lock. That allowed some in our group to come and go and we didn't have to always have someone at the house to open up. I would definitely come back and also recommend it to a friend.

Great house just a few blocks from the beach

This property had plenty of space with three bedrooms (5 beds total) all on one level. My older parents joined so not having multiple flights of stairs to climb other than the entrance was a plus. The views from the back sunroom were gorgeous and that quickly became our favorite room of the house. Perfect view of wildlife in the pond, golf course, and the sunset! Everything was clean and well stocked.
