loved the view and the seating on the deck. it was a wonderful pool The condo was very well stocked. the only thing I would recommend is mattress topper on the beds in the first room. the double beds were not very comfortable. great for kids but not older adults. Also that TV was not working. But over all it was a wonderful place I would book again. thank you for a wonderful place.

Glorious, ever changing views.

Comfortable, clean and wonderfully decorated. Whether it was enjoying the pool, or taking a short jaunt to the beach, where low tide daily provided farther walks out to the ocean, and ocean life discoveries, or waves that allowed for all kinds of water shenanigans (without under current) or walking the surrounding neighborhood on provided pathways, this unit provides all of the opportunities to enjoy the area. Views from balcony were ever changing with sunny days and local wildlife, to beautiful lighting storms over the ocean showing off pink and orange lighting strikes. Beds were very comfortable. All 6 adults slept wonderfully. A wonderful place for a family to stay.

Nice location in Wild Dumes

We were very impressed with the responses we AvantStay. All our questions were answered quickly. They made sure we were well informed. The property was as listed. Kitchen was well supplied and in good shape. Location in Wild Dunes was in a quiet area with little traffic. Pool was very nice and never very crowded. The people we met were freindly and mostly families. We visited on a Holiday weekend but the pricing seemed high for the size of the condo. For those that decide at the last minute I guess you should expect pay a premium. Only issues I would pass on would be one bedroom with queen beds had some kind of board under the mattress that made a loud noise if you rolled over. It was enough that no one slept in that bedroom after the first night. My other issue and I probably should have caught this but there was no cable or streaming service provided. At what we paid I think the owners could provide YouTube or something similar. I think it costs $80 a month and you can use it at more than one location. I have direct tv at home with an antenna and had no luck making it work. You also have to have a Samsung TV account to do anything. Maybe I just not qualified but it was a downer.

Perfect family vacation

We had an exceptional stay. The location, amenities, well stocked kitchen, and roominess of the unit are surpassed only by the excellent customer care and attention we received. The unit was truly an incredible spot and so well cared for. The customer service is unparalleled. We are so thankful.

A little disappointed....

This condo is located in Wild Dunes and is close to Charleston and Mount Pleasant - so lots to see and do. We were a little disappointed with this unit and complex. The age of the units are starting to show - furniture was worn, beds were squeaky and not comfortable, and lots of little things that should have been easily fixed. For example, the frig handle, shower handle, shower door handle, and some of the AC vents were all loose. The master bath light was hanging crooked. There were only a few towels in the unit. The wrong WiFi information was given at check-in, so did not have Wifi until late that night after having to ask a couple of times for it. Also, the front door is very squeaky, and the AC did not work well in the smaller two bedrooms. As for the building, the grounds could use some help as well. The observation deck near the beach was closed for repairs, and the sidewalks all looked aged and in need of painting. So overall, the pics look nice, but for what you pay this unit was a little disappointing in comparison to many of the other beach condos we have stayed in over the years.

IOP family vacay

Property was in a great location, close access to the beach. It was quiet, well stocked, comfortable seating & bedding. We were unable to use the TV due to lack of knowledge and instructions on how to use to access basic network stations for news and weather. Also would be more convenient to have a drop off box on property for pool access tags or replace with color coded plastic bracelets. One of our access tags did not have a tag attached We only had 6 but 7 in our party.

great week at Shipwatch

The property was as described however the elevator was out of service for the entire week that we were there. It was pretty difficult going up and down 3 flights with luggage, beach gear and groceries. Some in our party have mobility issues. I don't feel the management company was proactive in providing us that information before our arrival and were not very generous in compensating us for the inconvenience.

Jamaica feel property!

We booked this unit at the last minute and it did not disappoint. Exactly as described. The property has a Jamaican resort feel. The lush landscaping and palm trees. Its set straight across from the golf course, straight across from the pool and just a little path to the beach. The only draw back was the cell phone connection strength was not very strong. Other than that perfect. Definitely would book again.

Enjoyed our stay

The property was nice and we love that area of the beach and the pool. The only problem was that the refrigerator did not cool the drinks even after allowing for it to recover from being " opened too long to allow for a good cleaning" as the instructions with the condo said to do.

Beach time

The day after we arrived my granddaughter closed their bathroom door and we were unable to open it. Thank goodness none of my three granddaughters were in the bathroom at the time. The emergency contact took way too long to respond to my calls and texts. And the repair tech who was very nice didn’t get there for a few hours. Imagine if one of the kids had been in the bathroom at the time. While the cleaners did a good job, this unit really needs a deep thorough cleaning.

Enjoyed convenience to pool, beach and mile walk/ bike ride to main resort. Beautiful bike paths and tennis facilities. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Condo very clean and comfortable.

Updated, well-furnished, 3rd story ocean view

3rd story, above trees, beautiful view & just a short trip to Charleston. We were there for our anniversary and The Citadel - VMI game! Updated kitchen and bathrooms, new Haier washer/dryer hidden behind kitchen cabinets under a counter! We were surprised at all of the pots/pans/small appliances. Look in all of the kitchen cabinets early in your stay! We really appreciated the $250 credit for beach gear (2 bikes, 3 chairs & umbrella). Bikes left in bike rack and gear on our balcony when we arrived! All of the beds were very comfortable. In the morning, Bldg. D does block the actual sun coming up over the horizon but we preferred watching from the beach anyway. The balcony bar height table and 2 chairs were a perfect place for breakfast, lunch or a snack. We could see our chairs and umbrella from our balcony! Soon after arriving, we realized one of the master bath sinks was not draining and batteries were dead in a TV remote. I called about 9 or 10AM and a nice man named Eric was up to our condo by noon and had things flowing again and happened to have batteries. Quick response! Later that day another person arrived with batteries, so I put them in a cabinet. The weather our week was amazing too! Truly extended our summer! The ocean water and pool water were both extremely comfortable for swimming. Thank you to the owners for the care and attention they have put into their condo. Would definitely stay there again! Maybe in 2 years when VMI plays The Citadel in Charleston again! ;o) Rah Va Mil! Go Keydets!

IOP trip
