"I honestly cannot rate my stay at Papageno Resort in Kadavu highly enough. As a backpacker on a budget, staying here was a very special treat for me, and it exceeded every expectation.
Every single member of the staff, without exception, was incredibly friendly, caring, and genuinely focused on making sure I had the best possible experience. Their warmth and kindness made such a difference, and I truly felt welcomed throughout my stay.

"Stayed a week in the Frangipani rooms. Rooms were basic but sufficient for our needs. Outdoor shower was welcome and there was always hot water. The rooms weren't cleaned although we never requested this. Food served at lunch consisted mainly of burgers and wraps and these were tasty. There were usually 4/5 dinner options from daal soup to fish and steak dishes and these were enjoyed by the group. The free breakfast is simple consisting of cereal, bread and jam. "Large pool, really attractive, well attended grounds. Secluded & remote with a lovely sandy beach directly in front. Nice & quiet, but very thin walls between units so you could hear every word your neighbours said. Culture night feast & kava celebration were great. Unfortunately other meals were a bit disappointing. Long way from Nadi, but convenient distance to Suva. Excellent beach, excellent snorkelling."
