The retreat is a little out of the way however it is amazing. The staff were so accommodating even when we arrived late. The village tour was just amazing, the place was so relaxing just want we needed

Very disappointing, especially considering how expensive it was. The hotel is quite old and unfortunately doesn’t seem to be well maintained. The bed sheets had an unpleasant smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. The only positive thing was the staff everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very poor, with very limited options only one type of fruit and coffee available. Overall, I don’t feel the experience was worth the price, and I would really appreciate a refund or some form of compensation.

The air conditioning works well staff was amazing. Broken boards on deck faucets stripped out hard time turning off water sometimes had no running water and shower would not drain standing in two inches of water . The room needs a good deep cleaning kind of dirty. Cooks do a fine job the food service a little slow one plate at a time not everyone gets food at the same time at your table all all would come again it’s a very slow place worth the price transfer a bit pricey to goto activity in big cities drive your own car.

Disappointed with basic breakfast and no hot meal included just continental basic and cold baked beans offered in a bowl. Cost of evening meals very expensive,there needs to be casual food options offered and cheaper costs. My room had a space to hang clothes but no hangers. No complimentary water in room which was offered at other resorts,which is essential. Quite isolated resort.

Beautiful property. Atmosphere was quiet clean and peaceful. We felt a little isolated because there were no accessible alternate places to eat or walk to. Besides a primitive neighboring village. The people are kind and friendly.

The staff were wonderful and the place is beautiful. The gardens are very well maintained. There are activities everyday and music in the evenings. The people living in the village next door are very friendly and the children are very nice and respectful. The spa is wonderful. The chefs are friendly and answer any questions you may have about local food.

Everything worked out well. Most or all the rooms had a/c, staff very friendly and helpful,all rooms clean and enjoyed the fresh fruits and baked goods daily. Maybe get a little creative with the free breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were nicely kept. Limited options for food menu but everything we ate was very good. Wifi was excellent.

The rooms were unfortunately very dirty. My parents had eight lizards in their room and they pooped on their bed. We did have an amazing time with the staff. Inoki, Mere, and Chef Fakhim were beyond kind to us and made the best drinks, had the best service, and made us feel special. Exceptional staff and service though the cleanliness was not nearly the best we’ve experienced in Fiji.

To stay at Crusoe‘s retreat is to go back in time. I live in Hawaii and the feeling was of how it must have been at least 60 years ago. I loved the simplicity of the resort. I brought my own mask and snorkel, but they have sets you can use for free. They also have kayaks you can use for free. An authentic village is close by and one of my friends suggested bringing things like crayons and pencils. They were very grateful. They will arrange excursions, but for me the highlight of staying at this authentic resort is the peace and quiet of just enjoying the view and location. At times it feels like being on a cruise ship with daytime and evening activities and entertainment. You can participate or just chill. Don’t expect a slick kind of resort like in a glamour magazine. Instead, you can experience the charm of a simple life (and of course, there is a bar on the property and the food was good. I had a lamb shank like I’ve never had before. It rivaled what I might have experienced at a Parisian restaurant.)

We stayed for a week at Crusoes Retreat. It is the 3rd time we have stayed here. The last time was 10 years ago. To say the condition had gone downhill is an understatement. The once thatched roofs are now rusted with twigs left. Some Bures have had the roofs replaced. The beachfront bar is rotting and never opened. The spa pool was out of order and looked liked it hadn’t been open in months. The whole place was tired. If you choose this Resort by the photos on the website you will be very disappointed on arrival. That all being said we had a great week. The resort is basic but for what we wanted it was fine. I would advise hiring a car if you can as the Resort is very isolated. The staff are friendly and you can book activities. If you catch the tides correctly the snorkeling is lovely. Just watch the currents they can be very quick. The food is basic especially the tropical breakfast. If you are looking for an economical place to relax with no frills then this is the place. We had a Deluxe sea side bure. We loved the day bed, outside shower and the king bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning made the room pleasant to get a great nights sleep.

Operational staff from the village were all helpful, happy and friendly. Meals were lacking vegetables. Continental breakfast and availability to have cooked breakfast was terrific. Loved being involved in daily organised activities at retreat , including village tour. I feel that locals and reception staff could work together moreso to provide transfers for guests to allow more options. Overall a memorable experience with Fijian locals. Vinaka
