Ana, our house manager, was absolutely lovely! She sent me a WhatsApp 2 days before we left for our trip to greet me and get our arrival times. She was so responsive anytime we needed anything. She was the absolute best. The house itself was incredible and fit our group of 12 perfectly. We had everything we needed and more; plenty of bath towels, beach towels, toilet paper, purified water, etc! We can’t wait to return to Isla and stay at Villa Valera once more.

We loved our stay at Villa Valera. The house was spacious, clean, and beautiful. The large kitchen was a great size, the included bottled water dispensers were super convenient, the living room sofa was large and cozy, the beds were very comfortable. It was a super bonus to have a washer and dryer and be able to wash clothing and avoid traveling back with a suitcase full of damp clothes. The backyard pool was a great spot to cool off and wind down. Our two daughters loved it. With every room having its own bathroom, it made shower and toilet access a breeze. The views were beautiful. Our concierge was great and her recommendation of Kin Ha was spot on! We would definitely return. A few things I would note: the main floor is fully air conditioned but the second floor is not—only the bedrooms are air conditioned—so you have to keep the doors shut for rooms to cool properly. Also, the written description says that all bedrooms are kings and that is incorrect. One of the bedrooms is a queen (as listed in the bedrooms details section). A few nits that would improve the home:* Fans downstairs near the pool to cool down the space* More light on the side of the house with the stairs as it super tough to come down in the dark* The mermaid room air conditioner didn’t seem to work as well as the others

Fun Time

The house was everything listed. The house was clean and in a nice quiet area on the south side. We were close to activities, restaurants, and grocery store. We did rent golf carts to get around.

What a view

This is our 3rd house to stay at on isla now and it was definitely my favorite. The view is amazing, house is so spacious and perfect set up for a large group with multiple families. Kids enjoyed the pool, beds were comfortable, house was clean, nothing negative about it.

Great Location/Amazing Views

Villa Valera was the perfect house for our family trip. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location on the south end of the island. It was an easy walk to Punta Sur and several nearby restaurants. The hosts were helpful and easy to work with. Views from the main deck and upper level were hard to beat and the pool area was nicely landscaped. Would stay here again!

Best place ever

Don’t miss out, for a large group you will be please with the room and privacy. We had such a great time. Having them arrange the transport and the restaurant reservation was amazing and flawless. Can’t wait to book it again.

Perfect House with an amazing house manager!!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Valera. The house was as pictured and very clean. Ana the house manager was very attentive and helped us with our needs between a mid stay clean as we were switching guest mid stay. She also shopped for us upon arrival and again mid stay. The home had everything we needed and was very comfortable for 12 people.

Weeklong Getaway at Vila Valera

Nice property that has had tons of renovations. We saw the yard maintenance guy on a couple of occasions working in the yard, and were able to quiz him on local sights. The property is located nearer the south end of the island, and right on the bus route. Travel anywhere for $1 US or 20 Pesos. Everything worked okay in the house; no need for maintenance. There was one small thing that was found, and maintenance crew was there right away to fix the problem. If I was to change anything, it would be to have better filtration on the pool; it is surrounded by forest, and when it's windy, a few leaves get in the pool. We didn't mind cleaning it ourselves though; just one more thing to do outside in the amazing weather. Sunny every day, although we could see clouds over Cancun.

Amazing time!

We had an amazing trip at this property. The host, Anna, was extremely responsive, and gave us really great recommendations. The beds were all incredibly comfortable and we had plenty of space to spread out, yet feel close to one another on the property. Any minor hiccups we had were immediately attended to, and we always felt that we could reach out to Anna for help. The property itself is very pretty, and the pool area was lovely.
