Like a castle on the sea

Everything you need to an incredible stay on the sea and the location is optimal if you want away from the noise but close enough to walk to everything. Loved it here and would stay again.

Beautiful Getaway

Three of us stayed for four nights. The Villa is on a busy street but the bedrooms face the ocean so the car noise is not bothersome. The ocean views are gorgeous. Its the perfect location as well. Just outside the busy north area and walking distance to restaurants and north beach.

Amazing place to stay on Isla!!!

Casa Cielo was clean, nicely laid out, and a perfect size for 2 couples. The view from the Caribbean side and the Cancun side was stunning, especially since it is at the skinny part of the island and you have beautiful views on both sides. The breeze felt amazing flowing through the house and we barely had to turn on the AC. Check-in was very easy, and we were happy to be greeted with beers and chips/salsa! What a great way to kick off vacation! We were happy with the location, so close to Playa Norte and walking distance to so many fun places. As a person who has visited the island annually for many years, I highly recommend this property and hope to return!

If you're hesitating about booking this house right now, BOOK IT. There aren't enough words to describe what a week we had at Casa Cielo, so I'll give the highlights. I rented the house for my husband's 30th birthday, and we traveled with three other couples. I booked the entire house, including the two studio apartments, which I booked directly through the owner (Robin is SO friendly and helpful!). The house was beyond perfect. With the studio apartments, each couple had their own room and their own full bathroom, which was wonderful when it came time for showers and getting ready for dinner after our long days of exploring the island. The kitchen and living room area were PLENTY big enough for all of us to hang out, eat, cook, etc. We spent a lot of time on the back patio and the roof top, both with unbeatable views. The house is equipped with everything you need for the week, including purified water, beach towels/toys, beach chairs, etc. Everything was spotlessly clean, the A/C worked wonderfully, the beds were comfortable... The list goes on and on! Eight adults stayed for 7 nights, and all eight agreed that it was the best vacation of our lives. Zero complaints from anyone. (What are you waiting for? Book the house already!) Aside from Casa Cielo, the island was amazing. We felt safe and welcomed everywhere we went. We had a blast getting to know some of the locals, and we made friends with all the bartenders wherever we went. Another thing we LOVED was how inexpensive everything is on the island! Unlike the commercialized tourist hub of Cancun, Isla Mujeres is like a secret treasure full of authentic food and breathtaking experiences. We planned to cook at home some nights to save money, but it was actually just as cheap for us to eat out most meals (which I highly recommend, because the food was the best we've ever had!). The house is easily within walking distance to the "downtown" area, but we rented golf carts every day, because it was fun and when else do you get to drive a golf cart around an island? Hands down the best place we've ever been, and we're already talking about coming back. Top must-haves include: Lobster tacos at Soggy Peso (only served one day a week, so check the menu) Chicken enchiladas at La Lomita Pina coladas at Capitan Dulche (pool/swim up bar/great place to spend the day) Guacamole everywhere :)

Officially in love with Isla Mujeres

4 of us just returned from a girls trip. This was all of our first times going to Isla. Casa Cielo is in a very convenient location for walking to downtown or driving a golf cart to the south. The owner Robin was great with communication and giving us options on places to go. The house itself was the perfect atmosphere for being on an island. Having the ocean in our backyard was definitely great to wake up to every morning. We will absolutely be back!!!!

This property is located out of the main busy north end area, but convenient enough to get there really easily. This also puts you in a position to go south easily if you want.

Great Place on Isla - Centrally located

Great location, great property

Casa Cielo is even better than advertised. My husband and I stayed there for 10 days and enjoyed it thoroughly. The home is even larger than I expected. The back patio is spacious and has a great view of the Caribbean. We were able to leave the bedroom windows open at night to listen to the waves, but on the few nights it was too warm, the air conditioner in the bedroom worked perfectly and was extremely quiet. During the day, we opened all of the sliding glass doors to let the breeze blow through the house and it was plenty cool enough. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. The location is perfect. An easy walk to Hidalgo street, the ferry terminal and everything else. The view from the roof is fantastic. Robin, the owner, was onsite in the studio apartment while we were there but it still felt very private. She was very accommodating and friendly. She also set up rooftop massages for us on the last day of our stay, which was a great way to end the vacation. I would recommend Casa Cielo in a heartbeat and cannot wait to stay there again. Thanks Robin!

Spectacular views, great location

You couldn’t find a better location- close to town, you can walk via the ocean sidewalk. Going South on either side of Island also easy. Views from all windows are spectacular- both Caribean and bay side. And the roof top area is a great view area. Robin the owner is very helpful, she provides lots of the basics so you don’t have to. The house was exactly as pictured. It was well kept and clean!

Casa Azul was the perfect location for an amazing week on isla mujeres! We were able to walk down to the beach right behind the house and swim and were also within walking distance to the north beach/downtown area. The views from the rooftop were incredible! As were the views from the front porch and back porch for that matter. The recommmendations and advice from our hosts were very helpful and made our week that much better! An added bonus was watching the turtles come on shore and bury their eggs right behind the house!! Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your slice of heaven. We will definitely be back!!!

Great time

We stayed at Casa Ciela the week of Feb 25 2018. Very comfy and everything you needed was there. It was like home away from home except we did not have a balcony overlooking the ocean. 15 moms walk to town and restaurants. Best sunrise And sunset views. Got to experience the moon rising which was amazing.

Fabulous holiday home

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Casa Cielo. The location was ideal. We walked to the downtown and North beach in approx. 15 minutes. We prepared several meals ourselves and had everything we required. The casa was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the large showers as well as, the easy care of the stained concrete floors. Robin was a fabulous hostess. We would recommend Casa Cielo for families or, groups of friends! Alyson and Frank

Christmas in paradise!

Our family traveled to Isla over the Christmas holiday. There were 8 of us ranging in age from 3 to 72 and we spent 8’days at Casa Cielo. We rented the main house and both casitas. All three were very comfortable and the decor charming. The main house had everything we needed during our stay and both casitas had their own kitchenettes (including drinking water) and bathrooms. We felt very safe with the double locking doors and gated entrance. The 360 degree rooftop views were breathtaking. We spent many morning sipping coffee and watching the beautiful sunrise. We rented one golf cart to explore the island but the home is close enough to walk to the downtown area. It was about a 10 min walk to some fabulous restaurants and shopping. We actually preferred walking off all the delicious food and enjoying the warm evening breeze. When we returned home in the evenings, we would sit on the rooftop or one of the many balconies and enjoy the sounds of the waves crashing or the view of the bay. There was also a DVD player and CD/mp3 player for the younger kids to unwind. The only suggestion I would offer would be the addition of another large frying pan. We cooked daily breakfast for a large group and that would’ve been helpful. For a smaller group it wouldn’t be a problem at all. From the beautiful accommodations to the ease of working with Robin, I would have to sum up our stay at Casa Cielo as fantastic! Our family made beautiful memories and I wouldn’t hesitate to return and make more! Thank you to Robin and Capi’s for all of your help in making our stay so enjoyable!!

Paradise Found!

My husband and I came to Isla Mujeres last year. We spent two weeks on the island, fell in love with the place, and definitely wanted to do it again. This time we had friends that wanted to join us, so we needed a larger place, and Casa Cielo certainly provided that! The casa is extremely spacious, and the large bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect. The beds are very comfortable, and there is absolutely everything you could need in the large bathrooms, including more than enough towels, unlimited hot water and amazing walk-in showers, along with little extras like hair dryers and curling irons in both bathrooms, which I thought was a lovely added touch. Robin also provides plenty of beach towels and even thought of extra things for the beach such as a couple of folding beach chairs, a boogie board, a beach bag full of toys, and a portable cooler (with an ice pack in the freezer!). The location of the casa is absolutely perfect, with balconies overlooking both the Caribbean and Cancun Bay sides of the island and 360 degree views from the rooftop terrace. My brother also came to visit during our stay, and the upstairs studio apartment was perfect for him. He had everything he needed, and just like the main casa, it is decorated in the traditional Mexican style and has a big comfortable bed with all of the comforts of home. You can tell that Robin takes pride in this beautiful casa....everything is so well maintained, and she even had brand new patio furniture delivered during our stay. The gardens that surround the property upstairs and down are absolutely beautiful, and it always feels very serene. Though we were there for two weeks, we only rented a golf cart for four days to do some sightseeing on the island. Because of the casa's location, we didn't need one the entire time. Taxis come by constantly, and it is just as easy to jump in one to get to any destination you need. We enjoyed spending days at the north beach near the lagoon (try heading to the Fenix), but loved heading over to the smaller beach clubs on the west side of the island. We particularly enjoyed Playa Lanchero's where they have a bar/restaurant, and free use of loungers on the beach as long as you buy a couple of drinks while you're there. We were lucky enough to meet Robin during our stay, and can't say enough about how kind and accommodating she was, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her terriers, Monk and Gia. Thank you Robin!!!! Can't wait to see you again!

Christmas Family Vacation

This was our first trip to Isla Mujeres so the choice of a place to stay was a bit of a gamble, as it turns out a very lucky one. The house is located on the ocean with a wonderful view and the sound of the surf, great for sunning and very private. Even better the house is on the outskirt of the city center and only a short walk to restaurants and the north beach. An inexpensive taxi ride can take you to several wonderful beaches on the east side for a day of snorkeling and beach club restaurants. The very big plus was a several page summary of best places to swim, explore and eat provided by the owner Robin. Most importantly Robin provided great advice as to how to navigate easily from the Cancun Airport to Casa Cielo that de-stressed all of us after a long trip. Everything we needed was provided, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and nice Mexican style kitchen. So peaceful, we will return.

beautiful view wherever you look!

We very much enjoyed our time at Casa Cielo!! The views from both the front and the back are wonderful. We loved listening to the ocean as we slept, and the breeze blowing through was brilliant...the kids have never slept better in their lives! Very easy walk into town (and that is with a walking 2 1/2 year old) where everything is available. The layout of the house is nice, lots of room for the kids and adults alike. We were 2 kids, 2 parents, and 2 grand-parents...and never felt crowded or in each others way. Marla is great, and very, very helpful with island knowledge and suggestions, she really helped to make our trip to Isla so much more. Having Pauncho next door was equally fun, and we enjoyed many moments with him, which continued beyond our stay at Cielo...a very interesting and happy man! Definitely recommend this property for those wishing to stay on the north end, but wanting to have a place with space and peace.
