"The location is gorgeous with plenty of nearby walks, hikes, and interesting places to keep us busy. We saw deer, eagles and turkeys on the property. The cottage was clean and comfortable. It was quiet—at times we could hear the ocean from Pigeon Hill Bay just down the embankment across the road. Perfect in every way!"

"We stayed at this location myself , my daughter, my best friend and her daughter and her husband. We all fit nicely in the home. The property was great. Very clean. Check in was easy and they communicated via text which made it SO easy. Everything was as expected and listed. We would absolutely stay here again when we return. "Great rustic lodging. Helpful and friendly host. Beautiful area and close to many hiking trails in parks and preserves. Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). "We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning."

"My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh...

"This property was absolutely lovely! Gorgeous views of the water right from the porch, the pictures on the listing do not do it justice. About an hour drive to Acadia and the perfect place to crash after long days of hiking in the park. No Wifi available at the house but never had any problems accessing cell service. Property was very clean and the hosts were highly responsive and helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and grocery stores."
