"my friends and I traveled from across the country to meet for our annual “girls” trip. Location is amazing. You can walk to the beach, you can rent cabanas and there are lounge chairs for your use. The pool is sparkling and the trolley stop is right outside the property entrance. I just love Siesta key and this is a wonderful place to get away from it all, but have easy access to all of the fun and shopping. "

"This was one of our favorite stays EVER. You have the paradise of the Bay on one side and the beach on the other! We fished off the dock and caught tons of catfish. Then by simply crossing the beach road, we entered the beach and the water was turquoise and the temperature of bath water! We found so many shark teeth and beautiful shells. "Everything was described accurately. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Dave communicated everything we needed to know. The only thing you could possibly dislike would be the road noise because the bedroom window faces toward Beach Road but Spring Break brings out activity into and out of the village until the bars close. "We had a fantastic stay at Sophie's Cottage. The entire home has been renovated and is pristine and immaculate. The pool and backyard are breathtaking with an amazing view of the canal. The owner, Jim, is high class and ensured we had everything we needed to start our vacation; bikes, chairs, beach towels. Great communications with him. He provides everything you need to have a memorable stay. The home is perfectly located near the beach and village. Definitely will return!"

"For our girls getaway we like to have a pool, the ocean, a comfortable place to stay and a deck with a view to read and relax. The place was very comfortable, the pool was great, the ocean a 1/2 mile walk and the lanai was nice as well. There wasn't much of a view as it overlooked the main road - which you can't tell from the pictures. Overall a great place to stay and experience Siesta Key."

"We have been coming to Sarasota for many years and have stayed in different locations around the city, including on the keys. The Mermaid Cottage was exactly what we have been looking for with close proximity to the beach, quiet neighborhood, and easy access to get around to other locations.
