"The units are either new or just renovated. Still has the new smell. Very clean and awesome setup! Super comfy beds. We have a family of four and it was perfect for us. Super convenient. Don’t let the “no parking spot” scare you. We always found a daytime spot right out front, and an overnight spot just a couple blocks away. We stayed four nights and had an amazing time! "

"Property is newly built and very neat and clean. It's walking distance from the ferry terminal. There is a common area with kitchen that includes oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher etc. The only thing that's missing is air conditioner in the room. There was a portable fan. It gets very hot in the room."

"We stayed at the Paddle Shack for three nights. I wish we could have stayed longer. The property itself was immaculate, and the views were STUNNING!!! The location was also great, just 5min out of Friday Harbor. Karen and Duncan were more than helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had leading up to, and during, our stay. "We were very happy with this property. I was charmed by the transparency in the property's description of the orange counters and the narrow staircase, and hopeful when I read the reviews mentioning the wildlife spotted from the deck. One reviewer complained about the smell, which worried me a bit. There IS a distinctive smell, but it just made us think of going to our grandparents' cabins as children. I think it's just a smell to be expected in any old, wooden cabin. It wasn't offputting to us...
