"The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."

"Wow. What a lovely location! Our family of four stayed here for a night on our way out to the Isle of Skye, and we could not have been more pleased. The home is set in a beautiful glen between mountains. It is near the Glencoe visitor center, where we were able to plan out a local hike. "We booked at the last minute fir 2 nights as we were delayed sailing to Isle of Barra due to bad weather. Melfort was perfect for us to relax and begin our holiday, the family loved the pool and we had a lovely walk. The cottage was great. Most important the staff were just so helpful, they could not do enough. We are already recommending to friends."

2/10 Terrible
"When we arrived to the hotel, they informed us there was a storm and they lost power. That is understandable, however they provided no alternative or directions on where we could sleep that night. They only said they were closed and couldn't support or help us in any way. We had driven 3 hours from Edimburgh and had to find another hotel in the middle of the night with very limit knowledge of the area and very poor international phone internet, sitting in a parking lot. In the end, we booked another hotel in the very same town where the hotel is located, they were able to re- gain electricity a couple hours later and they did not deny customer's bookings because of that reason. We understand the difficulty of the situation but we lacked a lof of support from the hotel."
