"We know the hotel can't control the weather, but we were surprised by the lack of effort to offer some kid friendly activities with 4 straight days of rain.
Other issues we encountered:
1) our shower looked like it was never cleaned. The same 2 pieces of hair were stuck on the tile when we arrived and left. Lots of mold too.
2) my husband took my tween daughters to the gym with him (since we were all going stir crazy from the 3rd straight day of rain!) They were rudely informed at the desk...

"Cute decor, comfortable bed. We had to request extra pillows and received one. Had to ask again, received more, but housekeeping removed them the next day for some reason. Details we felt would have made our stay more comfortable: more than two hangers, a dresser or place to hold 2nd suitcase items. More than just 2 bath, 2 wash cloths, and 2 hand towels in the room. "We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Our king room on the first floor was very comfortable, spotless, had a large bathroom, and even a little back deck. The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team. Veronica's gourmet breakfasts were a huge treat, different every morning, and served with attention to every detail in the elegant dining room. "Property is amazing and home renovation and condition was outstanding, unfortunately we went on a cold weekend and the room was freezing (60°F) with no way to adjust temperature. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. These conditions resulting in almost no sleep."

"Stayed at Hoyt House in early April. Weather was lousy. Everything else was great. Location is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores of Fernandino Beach. Everything in the Inn was in top shape, and a lot of thought clearly went into making the guests comfortable. Umbrellas when it rained. A glass of wine in the afternoon. Plenty of places to sit witha book or other activity.
