"As my wife put it, this place was a perfect mix of things she likes (especially a dark bedroom) and I like (especially the skylight bedroom). Beyond the bedrooms we both enjoyed the spacious common areas, the rooftop patio, the hot tub, everything was perfect. Also appreciated an early check-in when some of our activities that day were cut short by the air quality! Hope to stay again when we're back in the area. "

"Colleen was a super host and a sweetheart as well. Place is very well equipped and very clean for its age. Gal of water in the fridge and the snack bowl on the table was a great touch. If you like downtown Hurley this location is awesome, it’s just a stumble around the block to get home. We will definitely be back this winter!!! Thanks again guys!!!"

"Domestic disturbance in room 106 next to us was quite excessive.Lots of yelling, screaming and pounding for nearly an hour early morning on July 5. “New”Pillows overstuffed… hard as rocks. No room cleanup while we were there. Could use a nightlight. Premises were clean. No apparent staff. TV worked great… appreciated availability of Brewers game on Baly’s"

"The Porkies are a great place to hike and see some beautiful scenery and waterfalls. The lodge was the perfect location being near the Black River and Lake Superior. Justin and Brittany couldn’t have been any nicer and accommodating. "

"Our stay was wonderful! We decided last minute to get away for a couple of days to attend the high graduation party of a relative and celebrate our upcoming anniversary. The rental was perfect for the two of us. There were restaurants within walking distance, as well as right next door! We enjoyed Cooper Peak and the waterfalls of the Black River which were just a short drive away. There was an issue with the heat, but Nannette was on top of it right away. The communication with her was superb!...

"The motor lodge was quiet and very clean. You can tell the owners care about the property. Added bonus were the massage chairs! Also, it was very cold when we stayed and our car would not start up in the morning. We called the property manager to see if anyone was on site that could give us a jump. There was not but they made a call for us and someone was out to help within minutes. They also made sure we had access to the lobby so we would not freeze while we waited. They went above and beyond...

"Nanette makes you feel at home with your stay at Sunday Lake Retreat. Being a first-time user of VRBO, I found it very easy to book and check in with Nanette. The hospitality shown to me was great. Having stayed from July 2nd to the 5th, there was plenty to see and do in the town of Wakefield, Michigan. I will be staying with her again in the future. "
