"When we arrived to the hotel, they informed us there was a storm and they lost power. That is understandable, however they provided no alternative or directions on where we could sleep that night. They only said they were closed and couldn't support or help us in any way. We had driven 3 hours from Edimburgh and had to find another hotel in the middle of the night with very limit knowledge of the area and very poor international phone internet, sitting in a parking lot. "We loved every minute of our weekend at Melfort. ..so our dog Bailey.the location is stunning and peaceful, the cottage we were staying was so clean and provides everything you need and it is so cosy and warm.i cant fault a thing.the pool was great,the restaurant is a plus with a good menu and good prices with super friendly staff.we loved ,loved the place..we cant wait to be back.thank you"
