"Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It’s an old style building though- so you can hear people in the street or going up/down the corridor outside. Doesn’t bother me- but would be disturbing for a light sleeper. However- Ilfracombe is a sleepy Devon town so there is no noise after pubs shut or before 6am"
"Absolutely great place to stay if you're in Ilfracombe. Backs onto the very pretty harbour area, really good value breakfast and the pub is friendly, great beers but not noisy at all.
Our room got a little warm and the mgt instantly upgraded us to a two-room suite opposite and the general service and friendliness of the team who manage the Royal Britannia would be a major reason for going back as well as the beautiful spots immediately around the hotel. "On arrival we were greeted by Alison one of the owners & she gave us an idea of our bearings this was fantastic and really began a wonderful relationship for the whole stay.
The room was small but extremely functional for us both and really comfortable and clean, only a couple of minor issues with maybe updating a few things but everything worked and we were extremely happy for the duration of our stay
