"Had wrong date and was at Ranchhouse Inn the week before at 310pm asked them to cancel it cause of the wrong booking date then was told had to go through Expedia and when I called them was told it was up to the managers at the Inn. They were told a week before the wrong date of July 19 but I still got billed anyways..not happy. The place could be great but cause of this it won't happen again. Expedia was also no help!!"

"Do not stay here! Room was old, dirty, hot, paint on top of mould, smelled bad. Terrible lighting. We did not even end up staying 5 minutes. Pool is way smaller than photos show. I felt unsafe. Front desk was not very helpful, dirty shoes in lobby (like it was somebody's house), not friendly."

That being said, my overall experience was good (except for some noisy people in the room upstairs, which I reported to reception, but it wasn’t really addressed); it’s close to the town and in a quiet area, and unless you have noisy neighbors, you should have a pretty decent night’s sleep. "The Ashwood Inn is a lovely place to stay in Central Huron. It’s very close to Grand Bend, Goderich and Bayfield. Many of the best beaches on Ontario’s West Coast are just minutes away. I would highly recommend staying here as the rooms are spacious, it’s very quiet, and the staff were very helpful."

"Quaint unique place."

"I was a little nervous about the “no check-in desk” (only emailed codes for the main entry and room doors) but it all worked out fine. The room was decorated interestingly. The scent of the soap/Shampoo was not for us, but the staff came minutes after we emailed them to remove it. Coffee shop is great. Location can’t be beat. Owner sat out on the porch one day chatting with guests. Friendly guy!"
