Our stay was very good overall. The house was spacious, clean, and well-located with beautiful lakefront views and mountain scenery. We really enjoyed the pool and the peaceful setting.A few minor issues we wanted to mention for improvement: quite a few bugs would swarm and come inside every time we opened the front door at night (even with the lights off). There were some uneven and misplaced stones on the walkway down to the pool, plus heaving concrete near the pool area that created a trip hazard — my mom (in her late 70s) tripped on it, so it felt a bit unsafe for older guests or kids. The kids were also a little freaked out by the spiders at the boathouse and didn’t want to fish there. We also tripped a couple of times on the uneven step-up going into the bedroom on the right from the main area, even though it was taped.We noticed a couple of cosmetic maintenance items that had no impact on our stay: the deck could use a fresh coat of paint, and there was an issue with the fascia on the house.We realize some of these things (especially the bugs and spiders) are just part of lake life in Arkansas. Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and would consider returning.
