Million dollar view! Great access to lake. Accurately listed as a challenging walk back and forth to lake. Accurately listed as no air conditioning. This was a challenge for us based on temperatures.

The rental property was everything we were looking for! Amazing views, quiet and relaxing atmosphere and very clean.The lake was beautiful and kayaks were a wonderful addition. Plenty of bathrooms, so no waiting, the rooms were spacious and the kitchen supplied all our cooking needs. It’s a perfect weekend get away, and wonderful stopping point for plenty of hikes. I only wish we booked more time!

Perfect place to recharge and enjoy the national park!

Our recent stay at this vacation rental was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were absolutely captivated by the location and the breathtaking views of the serene lake and majestic mountains. The tranquility and peace were exactly what we were seeking – a true escape into nature's beauty.We felt incredibly safe and secure throughout our stay, which added to the overall relaxation. The house itself was fantastic, offering a wealth of activities both indoors and outdoors. The thoughtful provision of everything we needed (besides groceries, of course!) made our stay seamless and enjoyable.The convenience of the nearby grocery stores was a definite plus. However, the true highlight for us was the property's perfect proximity to the national parks. The easy access to the loop around the park allowed for stunning drives, and we particularly loved being so close to the Staircase hike and Mount Elinor. Exploring these natural wonders was a breeze!Finally, a huge thank you to Mike, the property manager! He was incredibly attentive and genuinely nice, ensuring we had everything we needed.We wholeheartedly recommend this vacation rental and are already looking forward to our next visit! It's a true gem!

I've visited this house several times with family and friends, and I can highly recommend it. The views are amazing, the house is very comfortable, the instructions and directions are clear, and the owner is very easy to communicate with.

Spectacular views

This was an amazing place to wind down after an Alaskan cruise. The view was breathtaking and the stars at night above the big pine trees was simply beautiful. We got to kayak on the beautiful lake cushman and did some hiking around the area. Port Townsend is a quaint little town to visit. Mike was very attentive to our needs and the notes he left around the place were very helpful. Please do yourself a favor and rent this place for some stunning views and an amazing time!!

Unbelievable View!

We couldn't have imagined a more stunning view than this Lake Cushman retreat offered! We were there over a long Labor Day weekend and enjoyed spending time on the deck, hiking, swimming, kayaking and scuba diving in the nearby Sound. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds comfortable, and overall a lovely home! There are stores, parks, restaurants, and the Sound all within a 15 minute drive. We would definitely return and we're so glad we chose this property for our vacation!

Beautiful lakehouse-jaw dropping views

The lakehouse listing was 100% accurate. All amenities offered were in great condition, and all communication with owner was expedient. WiFi speed and entertainment options were wonderful! Hot water and pressure were outstanding- compared to others we have stayed at in the area. We book a lake Cushman rental every summer-this lakehouse was one of the best ones yet!! Thank you Mike G!!

Another great stay at the Eagle's Rest

I have already reviewed the Eagle's Rest a few times. I can only add that it continues to be a wonderful place to stay at if you plan on visiting Lake Cushman. It is very clean and comfortable, and has views of the lake from every room. The beds are great, and the kitchen is well equipped. As an avid swimmer and paddler, what I find most wonderful, however, is the private dock and cabana. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful View!!

Everything about the stay was just wonderful! Nothing beats the view! There is a beautiful view from every window! The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. Mike was very communicative whenever we needed something. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and had everything we needed. The location is better than expected! Just a short walk down to lake! Our family made a ton of wonderful memories! One of our favorite vacation homes yet! Thanks Mike!

Kayaking Paradise

This home is very comfortable and has the most incredible views. As kayakers the location cannot be beat. The coves and shoreline near Eagles Rest are so much fun to explore. We highly recommend this gem and look forward to our next visit.

5 Stars!

I think this was probably our favorite house rental yet. The house and view are GORGEOUS! It's honestly even better than the pictures. We loved watching sunsets from the dock and enjoyed the kayaks. I think we had a fire in the firepit just about every night too. The bed is super comfortable and having laundry was a huge plus. Laundry is always the worst part of getting home from vacation, but we were able to have most of it clean before leaving this time :) Mike is a fabulous host- very responsive and gave us plenty of recommendations for the area. We highly recommend climbing to the summit of Mt. Ellinor for those up to the challenge. Can't recommend Eagle's Rest enough- you will not be disappointed!

Tranquil and cozy

I stayed with my children and we loved this cozy cabin. The description is spot on. Views out of every window! Completely breathtaking! My 7,8&10 year old kids couldn’t stop saying “wow”! The cabin has an adorable walk down to the lake that my kids loved exploring and inventing stories of adventures to take. We enjoyed playing games and snuggling to watch the mountains get a dusting of snow and even a rainbow form between them We planned for quiet and we’re not disappointed. We all hope to come back to see the cabin in the summer to go out on the lake too!

Lake house with a view

The view from the house and the dock was beautiful. The perfect place to relax. We spent the day hiking and came back for a swim to cool off. The house is close to a number of really good hiking spots. We had a wonderful stay at Eagle's Rest.

Relaxation perfection!

If you are looking to turn off from the rest of the world and just relax this is the place to do so. From the booking to check-out our stay was wonderful and hassle free. The house was spotless, well stocked kitchen, lots of room, and views for days!!! The lake was just a short walk down the property and offered endless hours of entertainment. We vacation every summer at lake Cushman and this is so far the best spot we have stayed.

Another great stay at the Eagle's Rest

This is my third time staying at the Eagle's Rest with my parents. It's a beautiful home with an amazing view and a wonderful dock to use for swimming and boating. I couldn't recommend it more!

Perfect getaway!

We loved our stay! Great location, the view is amazing!! The walk to the dock is so cool! We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and hiking Staircase. The home is well equipped and Mike was very responsive. We cannot wait to return!!

Surreal Vacation Experience

My family and I vacationed here for the second time in three years and are already planning on returning next year. The view and overall experience of this home is nothing short of magical! From the instant you wake up in the morning to long after sunset, you are mesmerized by the scenic tranquility that this unique view of Lake Cushman and the Olympic mountains provide. The thorough communication and support from the host and the instant home-like feel when you walk through the front door hooks you and doesn't let go. We essentially spent eight days at this beautiful home bouncing between swimming off the spacious deck and "Tiki Bar" area, boating, fishing and enjoying peaceful conversation on the deck all while admiring one of the best views possible. Listing doesn’t do it justice!

Amazing view and sparkling clean! The house had everything we needed, with clear instructions on how to use things!! Beds were very comfy and linens were good. Absolutely recommend!
