Would recommend visiting the Union Visitor Center for good information about the sites and activities in the area. We enjoyed a few hikes to waterfalls and dinner of Oysters and Dungenese crabs. "The pictures do not do this place justice it is more beautiful in person. The host was great! Had a really fun time here, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are on the fence about it. It’s not to far from anything you’d wanna see here at the national park as well. "

"My wife and I got away for a long weekend after being kid-free. We brought kayaks and wanted to explore the area. We enjoyed the location very much, with easy access to Hoodsport and Hama Hama. The access to the water wasn't as easy as we hoped, but the fact that there's a little county park in front of the house did work out for us. "We stayed at this cabin over Labor Day weekend with a group of friends, and it was the perfect getaway. The property has everything you’d want to enjoy both relaxation and adventure: hammocks, a hot tub, paddle boards, kayaks, and more. "We have had such a good time here! We are a big family of 5 kids (under the age of 7yo) and we all enjoyed a lot our stay (one week). The cabin is perfectly stock with all you need for a get away that you feel like home! The location is also really good. You can easily enjoy the Hood Canal and its surroundings. "It was awesome. Secluded yet not too far from town and my son who lives in Shelton. It was great to take a walk to the shore which was an adventure walk with blackberries and sweetpeas. The high tide and low tides were an adventure especially as it was full moon. The surprise on the last few days was the view of Mt. Rainer. When we travel, we pick the place based on the view and access to the water, not too much on the amenities (except when we travel to warmer climates we always make sure there is AC). "We had a magical time at this beautiful cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful lake, had it nearly to ourselves the whole stay! We paddle boarded and kayaked and dozed in the sunshine on the dock.The one big detractor was the air beds had holes in them, and the host said the pullout couch was uncomfortable, so it was a little tricky to sleep 3 friends comfortably.
