Ideal location, walkable to everything. Pool and bbq area were great. Building was a bit outdated but the suite had mostly been updated. Shower could use a refresh but everything was clean and functional. Great stay!

Check-in was easy. Nice spot for two. Location and view are ideal. Loved having a larger fridge to stash groceries from Foodland or Safeway. A/C is fine but in May, the trade winds blowing through louvered glass windows plus the ceiling fan made for cool, restful nights. Did I say the view was awesome?! Hot tub was great! Everything is walkable, and hip travelers get a prepaid HOLO Oahu bus pass to help roam all of greater Honolulu. Just a 3 ride to and from the airport on bus #20!! Goes to Pearl Harbor as well. TRAVEL LIKE A LOCAL. We'll stay again.

Cozy and Clean

Great location and building, really comfortable for us. Unit is starting to show it's age unfortunately but, hey, aren't we all. Some small repairs would be great. Most annoying was the kitchen sink faucet that does not like to shut off, the damaged stove knobs, and the air conditioner that makes a horrendous racket and doesn't cycle properly. Well, that ceiling fan works fine and minor issues certainly did not ruin our stay, which was pleasant indeed.

Beautiful view and amenities. Parking a bit expensive

It was a nice little apartment, with complementary treats and pool toys. The pool deck is very nice and a great place to relax. The parking fee was $40 per day instead of the noted $35, which was manageable. But an unpleasant surprise. Otherwise very nice little apartment.

Great Location

This is a great location! Just minutes walk to the beach and all the nightlife and restaurants in Waikiki, overlooks the canal, next door to a golf course, etc. The building even has everything you need…great restaurant that offers coffee to include lattes (although doesn’t open until 7am), mini mart that sells alcohol, pool, exercise room. It’s also 1 block from a Starbucks that opens a little earlier than the hotel restaurant. The only negative to this place is how small the bathroom is. It’s fine for 1 person but even 1 person can’t use the shower without closing the door. But the unit has lots of mirrors so others can get ready outside the bathroom. The bed was a little too soft for my liking, I think it’s due for a new box spring. Other than that it’s great! Loved sitting on the large balcony every day.

Very disappointed

This is a substandard unit badly in need of reconditioning. The lanai tables look original (1970s?) and are badly weathered. The webbing on the chairs is coming apart. It all needs to be replaced. The vinyl plank(?) flooring in the unit is so scratched up it looks like it was repurposed from a loading dock. The mat in the bathroom also hails from the 20th century, is worn out and ripped and I suspect impossible to clean. The kitchen light is burned out. At least three of the mismatched dishes were cracked. Our biggest complaint is that the VRBO listing showed a pool. We used it once before they closed it down for a couple weeks for regularly scheduled annual maintenance. We were definitely misled and extremely disappointed. We checked out five days early, paid for another place and we’re glad we did. The unit has a good bed, nice views from the lanai and is centrally located. The same can be said for thousands of other places so choose from among those before renting this one.

Our room wasn’t cleaned when we first arrived at night. So there was a bit of delay trying to arrange at the front for a temporary room the first night before moving back to our reserved room. The staff at check in was very friendly. :)

Pool under maintenance & Tv not working

Although the view and location were beautiful, so many key elements were missing or not working. The pool and hot tub and main sun deck were not available during our visit. These were the main things we wanted, visiting Honolulu in winter means you want to enjoy the sun. ( not only beach). After a busy day also enjoy watching tv. It was not working. We had great support from The girl who helps manage couldn’t get it working either. The tech support was unable to come by for five days. We were able to get a refund (which is much appreciated) and we moved to a nearby hotel so all turned out well. I do think it is important to post this information - in advance. I would say that other aspects of the rental were fine. Basic, beautiful view, reasonable cost. Vascava support. Amazing.

Tiny studio with great view but few services

This studio is in a wonderful location with a great view. We would have given it 5 stars but for a few details. We paid an extra servive fee to be in this building, but we’re only given our key by the concierge. He said he couldn’t answer any of our questions & we should call the owner. I think we should be refunded the service fee since we didn’t receive anything other than the key. There were very few towels for a beach resort. We spoke with the owner asking for two washcloths , a kitchen towel and extra toilet paper. We only received the dish towel. No bath mat was provided and it was slippery on the tile flooring. There is a coffee maker, but no filters. These are simple issues to fix to increase the rating of a property that is small, but in a great location. Thanks!
