Upon arrival to the property we noticed a number of random things that seemed out of place (bbq cover off and on the outside lounging chairs, hose in the pool, beach chair broken, garburator broken, lipstick stains and crud on clean wine glasses and utensils, film around master shower tub drain). I contacted the property management company through text as that is how they initiated a conversation and was told someone would follow up in the coming days. Randomly on day 3 or 4 a maintenance crew member showed up to the door at dinner time to “fix our list of issues”. We let him know we cleaned up everything else (reluctantly) but that the garburator was still broken. He came in and fixed it while we were away but never didn’t hear anything from the management company about the other issues ……. Mid stay the pool maintenance crew showed up unannounced with loud equipment and proceeded to clean the yard and pool while we went inside for a snack. After explaining to the crew that we weren’t checking out for another 3 days and that our children were sleeping inside, they left without a fuss. I then sent a message to the property management crew asking them to follow up about the unexpected visit since this wasn’t acceptable either and never heard a word back. STILL. Overall the rental was OK… I think it’s hard to have a bad time on this island but the price tag didn’t exactly line up with quality of the home or service. Also side note: the lot next door appears to be starting construction on a new build in the upcoming weeks (lots of activity next door, large trucks/ noises)…. Let’s just say I would have been a VERY unhappy customer if we were vacationing next to that for 10 days. Who wouldn’t be ?
