Another fantastic stay!

We had yet another fantastic stay at this great villa. The location is wonderful and the villa was clean, well stocked and had everything we needed. Loved the short walk to the beach. Do yourself a favor and rent bikes and get a Sea Pines pass. Bike to Harbor Town, Sea Pines Center, and South Beach.

Exquisite Experience

This is our second time staying at this specific villa. The owners go above and beyond to help answer any questions and make your family feel comfortable. This condo has many upgrades and will not disappoint you. The location has everything your family could want including a pool, tennis courts, the beach across the road, and located a quick bike ride to shopping and eateries. Love this area!

Home away from home!

Highly recommend this villa. The villa was very clean and beautifully decorated. It is a short walk to the beach (with our 2 and 4 year olds we did it in about 8 mins). The villa has a beautiful screened in porch, washer/dryer, fireplace, gas grill, 2 parking spaces, Roku/cable/Wi-Fi and is very close to grocery stores and shopping. The villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need including all the basics, extra pillows (from soft to firm), beach wagon, extra blankets and a fully equipped kitchen (even a pizza cutter). It also has everything for children including house and beach toys, baby gates, feeding supplies, swim wings and more. The owner provided a welcome book that has all the information about the villa, local restaurants, bike rentals, and things to do. In addition, there is an on-island contact that can provide villa support/repairs and recommendations for restaurant, entertainment and kid-friendly activities. Our family throughly enjoyed our vacation and have already booked this villa again for next year!!!

Better than we expected

For our first time traveling to Hilton Head Island it was definitely a great experience. My wife and I came to celebrate our anniversary, and we were blown away by the villa. The property was beautifully decorated and clean. The fact that my wife is a clean freak as well as an EPH this was a HUGE plus. The property was perfectly located being close to just about anything that you could want to do on the island. Ashley was extremely accommodating, and assessable. She provided timely responses to any questions that I had during our stay. The property was equipped with things for the beach as well as the basketball and pickle ball court. My wife and have already decided that we’re definitely planning to come back just to stay longer to enjoy more of the amazing property. Thanks again Ashley for allowing us to experience these wonderful accommodations. We will definitely be in touch and look forward to staying in your beautiful villa again. Chance

Excellent beach stay

We had a lovely stay here. The property was clean and a perfect size for our family, and the location to the beach and biking/walking trails to shopping areas was perfect! We had one issue with the master shower, and the owner was very prompt in having a plumber come out to fix it the same day. Also, the pool in the community is literally just steps away from the back porch. All in all, a wonderful place to vacation.

Perfect Hilton Head Location

We loved our stay at the Ocean Gate Villa. The condo is clean and beautiful. The owners provided all the essentials for cooking meals. We used the Weber grill everyday! It works excellent. We could see the pool and tennis courts from the condo. My kids loved the easy access to everything. This is also the only condo with a screened in porch. The location is perfect. It’s close to Sea Pines, a 5 minute shaded walk to the beach ,and a quick bike ride to Coligny Shopping and eating. The communication with the owners was also excellent. In our haste to leave for the airport at 4 AM, my Dad left his phone on the kitchen counter. The owners quickly responded and had the phone shipped to us overnight.

Great place to stay

Overall I would recommend this place to stay. It is convenient to the beach, the pool was well maintained and we love visiting Hilton Head. The property was well kept and clean. We wanted for nothing during our stay and Ashley responded immediately to any messages.

The perfect Hilton Head experience!

From the beginning to end of the trip, this villa was the perfect way to spend a vacation. First of all, the walk to the beach was easy and convenient. The villa was pristine, clean, updated, and had everything that we needed! We enjoyed eating a few breakfasts and dinners on the screened in porch, and loved taking a dip in the pool after a great day on the beach - the pool is literally 10 steps from the back porch. The grill was in excellent condition and easy to use. The kitchen was well-stocked and well-appointed. Easy access to the bike trail as well! One small thing to note -Floor mats at the front and back doors would be helpful to minimize getting sand/dirt elsewhere in the house. Overall, we had the most amazing trip. We will especially remember this place forever as we got engaged at the beginning of our trip :). Ashley was amazing and responsive to work with. She continually updated us leading up to and on the trip with regulations and conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to make this villa a frequent re-book to one of our favorite places!

GREAT LOCATION!

We loved our first visit to Hilton Head Island and would definitely recommend 13 Ocean Gate Villa to all. Updated villa had everything we needed, nice size pool that wasn't ever crowded. The beach was only a 5-6 minute walk from the end of Ocean Gate Villa across the street and down a wooded path. The location at the end of the path is marker 48 for any of you wanting beach service. Would definitely stay hear again! Thanks

Surpassed Our Expectations!

We were a party of 6 (two adults and four kids between the ages of 7 and 13) staying at this property March 10-13, 2020 and all of our expectations were surpassed! I am big into researching and reading each review before I book a place to stay and have had some not-so-great experiences--this was not one of them! From the moment we walked in, the cleanliness and friendliness of the property was evident. The house was homey without being cluttered, nice without being so nice I was afraid of my kids breaking something. :) There was plenty of room for us to sleep (one of the adults slept in one of the twin beds and found it not so comfortable, but my 13-year old had no problem with it and the master was great!) and everything was well-appointed. We loved sitting out on the screened veranda each night. The one drawback for us was in the kitchen supplies. Since we did end up cooking more at the house, it would have been nice to be provided with a few more of the basic spices and pantry staples, but this was a small complaint in an otherwise excellent experience. The location of the property was fantastic. The walk to the beach was truly about five minutes--a walk around the complex, crossing the street, and an intriguing trail through the woods. And it is so worth it--the trail opens up to the most beautiful, Nicholas Sparks-ish beach I have ever seen! My mom and I are not great walkers, but found this walk very doable! We much preferred this beach to Coligny due to its beauty and low-key atmosphere. It was busy without being crowded and off-the-beaten path without feeling secluded at all. My kids also loved just playing in the front of the condo. We rented bikes (HIGHLY recommend doing this and Island Life bike rentals were AWESOME!) and they would just ride their bikes around the not-busy parking lot any chance they got. Communication with Ashley was fantastic! She responded promptly each time and was always friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall, this was intended to be a restful three-night stay for our first time on Hilton Head island and everything about this property made it exactly that! The descriptions were accurate (surprisingly better than the pictures), the bathrooms were clean (a big deal to me!), the location was perfect, and the owner was a joy to work with! We would definitely stay here again!! Thanks, Ashley!

From the moment we walked in to this villa, we loved it. It is perfectly decorated. It was great to have wonderful, updated applicances. Love all of the windows-so bright and cheery! The pool and tennis court were awesome and the short walk to the beach was perfect. We cannot wait to come back!

Very beautiful well maintained condo.

Very nice 2 bed condo, very quiet location with nice screened in deck an pool right outside. Owner supplied everything you could possibly need in the condo. Would definitely rent this condo again. We give it a 10!
