Private Home with Screened-In Pool Very Close to the Beach!

  • Come enjoy this very private home with easy access to the beach and a single-level floor plan located on Palmetto Dunes' 11-mile lagoon system!

    The kitchen is upgraded with custom cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen comes fully-equipped with everything you'll need to cook for the whole family if you so desire. There is also an extensive bar/island in the kitchen with seating for five.

    The living room is nicely furnished with comfortability in mind. The TV is a large Smart TV. The fireplace cannot be used by guests.

    The Primary -suite has a king bed, Smart TV and en-suite Primary bathroom. The Primary bathroom has a his/hers vanity along with a walk-in shower. The first guest bedroom contains a queen bed, Smart TV and its own guest bathroom down the hall. The first guest bathroom consists of a tub and shower combination. The second guest bedroom is great for kids with its two sets of twin bunk beds. The second guest bathroom also consists of a tub and shower combination.

    Just off the living and kitchen areas is the screened-in pool and spa along with a small deck with your own private propane grill walkway leading to your own boat dock (boats/kayaks not included). Set off Mooring Buoy road by about 100 yards and surrounded by lush vegetation, you'll get the privacy you desire without sacrificing distance to the beach. Just across the street from the beach access!

    The spa and pool can be heated (June 1st- October 1st) for an additional fee.

The only thing that may cause me to not stay again is the beds in the master and front bedroom were way to firm and uncomfortable for my families preference.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location is near perfect. 5 mins walk to the beach, on a beautiful wooded lot. House layout was great rooms were nice. Could use some TLC in the drywall of the walls and ceiling. The mattresses were not good which makes the stay very hard even at a beautiful site like this. The pool was screened in and was perfect. Wish the hot tub was heated a bit to get a break from the cool pool. Beyond these issues, if they would replace mattresses we would stay there again. Get NEW Mattresses!!

The lanai and pool area was very very dirty, we cleaned it. The pool wasnt full of water and we had to call management to make it stop making noise. We asked many times for the pool and spa heater to be turned on, to no avail. Disappointing. We would have paid extra for it. The bedroom with bunk beds was not comfortable. Despite this, We love Hilton Head Island and will return.

Very Good Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this was an enjoyable property and private access to the lagoon was a great feature and there was an easy walk to the beach. There was much natural lighting and plenty of room for the four of us. Room for improvement would include the mushy mattresses in each of the bedrooms. The TV had no access to local stations and there was difficulty navigating the smart tv that kicked us out on several occasions. Overall these were not enough to give this property a thumbs down on the contrary it was a thumbs up property by all four of us. We had a great time and ate out more frequently than normal: Charlie's quarterdeck and wise guy, But the best was Deas guys at The Jazz Corner where we had good food and they provided great entertainment. Pickleball tournament was also enjoyable to watch as some of the top players were competing.

Beautiful Palmetto Dunes House with Great Beach Access

Pros: Gorgeous house with beach access path right across the street. Perfect kitchen well stocked with everything you could need to cook + outdoor grill. Upgraded master bath with amazing shower, vanity, etc. Enclosed pool and spa were perfect once we were able to get them heated. It's still outdoors but enclosed by screened caging to keep debris and wildlife out. Property is an easy bike ride to main strip of Palmetto Dunes. Cons: Very few cons. Main one is that we wrestled with the property management company to get the heat to the pool and spa turned on, despite our immediate request and offer to pay. Eventually it happened, but it was halfway into our trip. Make sure to check before booking on if heating pool will be possible and how much it will be. Only other con was a very, very slight cigar smell in master bedroom, which I think may have been from a previous guest and hopefully will dissipate or be cleaned. Overall, we loved this house and would definitely consider booking it again (after confirming they'd heat the pool on the first day :))!

Reviewer Comments: This is one of the smallest rental homes I have been able to find in palmetto dunes, which is perfect for my family, along with the awesome beach access. We were disappointed that the steps to the dock were not usable due to storm damage right before our stay. A heads up prior to our arrival would have helped with that. Although we knew in advance, it is so crazy that the pool is unheatable after 10/1. Having a heated pool in the fall would be amazing.

Recently there has been some new furniture added and the property sits on the edge of the lagoon which is a quiet little getaway. There is plenty of room inside and the kitchen is well equipped. Walk across the street for easy beach access. This one has everything we look for during a vacation.

The kitchen is wonderful with lots of utensils, plates, glasses and pots. The star of the show is a great pool and hot tub. Lots of chairs and loungers. Our granddaughter played and swam all day. The house is set back from the road and offer lots of shade and privacy.

Beds could be improved and the ceiling fan appeared to be falling off the ceiling in the living and might have a bit of mold on the ceiling near the falling fan. Other than that is was a great spot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed the first week of May 2022. We are very satisfied with the overall experience at 45 Mooring Buoy. They sent all the paper work with the parking passes and door code the week before and it made the arrival easy since we drove straight to the house. The inside was very clean and comfortable. Hint, we did a Kroger click list on the way down and picked up the groceries the first night, very low hassle. The location is nice, right on the Main Street and the beach access path is right across the street, only about a 5 minute walk. The property sits back off the street and has the small dock in the canal, did some fishing but you do need a license. Very quiet and private. My cons are few and didn’t affect much but, they need to be mentioned. The outside of the house needs some work. Everything, from the gutters to the siding, the screened in patio and doors are aging. The sliding door to the patio is old and sticky, definitely needs replaced or fixed. And the pool.... It is not heated from October-May. Not even the hot tub. They will not heat it. During the summer, they will turn on the heat for an up charge. We were a bit disappointed since it was 85 out every day. But the pool was warm enough to swim, o problem. Water temp was mid-80s. The pool was adequate itself but a bit dirty and green, needs a good scrubbing and vacuum. All in all, these were minor to us, maybe why the house was cheaper than others.We did enjoy ourselves, the location is great for access to the beach, driving on and off and walking to the general store, etc. the house was very clean and comfortable on the inside, plenty of appliances, dishes, cooking utensils. Grill worked well for burgers and steaks. Easy check in and out.

A Nice Lagoon House

The lagoon behind and the beach path in front, we loved that.The pool was great, and the fact it was covered was a benefit. The interior of the house was comfortable. The new master bedroom bathroom was very nice. Our only issue was temperature control in the front bedroom by the kitchen. That room was very hot with the thermostat set at 70 degrees.
